Bucknell grad (undergrad '89) and former basketball player John Watson died today after suffering a heart attack. He was a professor at St. Bonaventure and also did excellent commentary on the Bonnies' internet broadcasts.

My mistake, his undergraduate degree was in '88, Masters in '89.

Sad. My condolences to friends and family.
For those who weren't Bucknellians in the late 80's, John was a key member of the 1989 ECC championship team. Iirc, he was a starter the previous year as well, and also saw action for the 1987 championship team.
2012-13 Attendance: 19 games and 8,354 miles driven.

GMoney, who probably knew him best among the people who comment on this board, should probably elaborate, but the mid to late 1980s teams were probably the second best Bison teams of the modern era (IMO). They ran, ran, and ran some more. Following the '87 and '89 teams was a GREAT experience.
