Doesn't this argument kind of go the other way too? Cornell played precious few teams in the top 100 in 3 pt defense, and they lost most of those games. Now they get the team that is #2 in the country. When you match up the best 3 point shooting team in the country against the #2 3pt defense, I'll take the team that played the tougher schedule (and the team that plays defense in a tie).

Like last year, this looks like a matchup where Wittman gets his, but Foote and Dale will struggle. Sure, Cornell may present a matchup issue with Jacques, but as good as he's been as a surprise senior starter, I'd be comfortable taking my chances on their #5 option having to have a big game to win. And I think the matchup problem may end up playing the other way, anyway.

Cornell lost 4 games so far this season, so it's a small statistical sample to choose from. I think Princeton is a good defensive team, but Cornell still found a way to beat them.

I think a lot of the season-long stats have to be thrown out the window when it comes to the tournament time. Which team is playing well? Which players have progressed during the course of the season? Will Louis Dale have a monster or mediocre game? I don't think Cornell can win unless he has a relatively positive game.

Which NCAA game will be shown in my area? Will it be a flex feed (jumping away for other, more competitive, games) or a constant feed (staying with the local team regardless of the score)?

Thursday NCAA coverage maps available here:

Friday coverage maps (including Cornell vs. Temple) not yet available.

If you're willing to watch on a computer, every game will be shown in your area.

Cornell-Temple gets Nantz/Kellogg. I guess that means CBS doesn't expect an upset, otherwise they would have sent Gus Johnson.

On the other hand, with Nantz CBS just guaranteed that whoever wins, both teams' fans will want to shoot themselves in the head after listening to the broadcast.

Too bad. The Raff would have been perfect. Knows the Big 5 well. Lots of funny anecdotes about playing Ivy League schools, etc.

"Wittman - with a kiss!"

I do not think it is likely for Dale to have a monster game against Temple. It really has not happened against good teams in the past, and it is not likely here. However, if Wittman and Foote play well, as they usually do in big games, and Dale can throw in 8-10 points or so, they have a chance. However, Cornell has 3 top 100 wins in three years, and none better than 62. The odds are very much against them especially when you know that Dunphy will not be fooled by anything from Cornell.

I'm addicted to watching on computer. You can cycle through several games instead of waiting for commercials. You can simultaneously chat about the game, look up stats, or, you know, get back to whatever it is you should be working on. It's pretty decent quality and there are shockingly few glitches for something with incredibly high traffic (none last year for me, just a couple today).

Me too, although my employer wouldn't approve! I think they've improved hte internet video this year. Last year I had a miserable time trying to get access.

Cornell v Temple is on at 3.00am on Saturday morning here. Very tempted to watch it live (although I think I'd prefer the tv and sofa at that hour).

Betting line is Temple -3.5 or -4. Over is 119. I would take the under.

Cornell got absolutely screwed. They would've fared better with a 13 seed. Temple is a brutal match-up, they take away the 3 and can take away Foote.
