And on the other end, it's one and done (other than the times they turn it over).

I would concentrate on what they could do offensively...as we saw in the Temple game, if they are on their game hitting 3s it doesn't necessarily matter so much if the other team does OK hitting 2s.

To hit threes you have to get looks from three. They're doing all their usual screening and cutting - Kentucky's just doing an incredible job of staying with them on the perimeter. I don't know what the solution is there except to hope that Kentucky slackens the intensity.

Chip, I think they were pretty much doing packing the zone in tight, and doing decently in the half-court. I think they are simply getting physically worn down. Turnovers and fast break points are the difference.

There is no chance, Kentucky doesn't let up. They are putting more pressure on the ball than Cornell can handle. And they have guys talented enough to play Foote straight up.

Kentucky also has done a great job of scouting who can shoot the 3 for Cornell. They seem to be pretty disciplined in not doubling off Wittman, Dale, Wrobleski.

Anyone else think Cousins was staring down Bilas there as they went to the locker rooms? He was definitely eyeballing someone in the vicinity of midcourt. No doubt those Bilas comments from Selection Sunday about Cornell beating Kentucky have been replayed a lot for them by Calipari the last couple of days.

And CBS gives up on Cornell, at least here on the West Coast.

CBS just switched away a minute in to the second half. Still 11 minutes to go in the K-State game.

Yeah, to be honest, Cornell dominated Wisconsin and Temple and they were more than capable of beating Michigan State or even Syracuse. But Kentucky is very different kettle of fish (they're even more athletic than Kansas). With the virtual home court and an early lead, I thought UK's freshmen might panic and make it a game, but they regained their composure.

Jaques misses a good look -- that's what I'm talking about. UK is playing great perimeter D, but I still think Wittman is the only one who's being totally suffocated.

Kentucky took Cornell out of its comfort zone after that early spurt. They contested everything, which changes the looks even when they're not contested. They upped the pace, which is weird to say in a 32-16 half. But Kentucky used its athleticism in ways that Wisconsin and Temple didn't.

Cornell hitting the offense glass now. That's necessary, but also what could turn this even uglier.

Wittman misses a wide, wide open look, and badly.

It's like Cornell is up against 5 Kareem Maddox's of various sizes and offensive abilities.

No more game here. Time to give up.

They've held Kentucky to one FG in the first four minutes of the half and shaved all of 2 points off the lead.

Can't the Big Red use some ball fakes on their 3s?

Heh. If we just had TWO Kareem Maddoxes we could have won the league!

Calipari is the biggest cheater in college. Bobby Knight was quoted as saying "how does he still have a job" referring how the NCAA has not gone after his credibility.

At the very least he has left a trail of red-flags.

Well, shooting the 3 in transition is another way to beat UK's perimeter D. You're gonna have to take the quick 1-and-out gamble at this point.

Jesus, the opportunity has been here to make a huge run this half. Kentucky has gone completely to sleep on offense.

Yeah, again, Wrobo, Reeves, and Jaques have all had at least one good look. Even Wittman had a couple good looks by chance. Only Wrobo's second try went it.

EDIT: Another good look for Jaques. I guess Cornell was just due for a cold night.
