OK, so I'm certainly being a little optimistic, but does anyone know where the playoff will most likely be, and how hard will it be to get tickets?
I haven't seen this team play this year, and if it's at some place like Yale, I can drive there in two hours.

My hunch is Yale, given the 2006 Princeton-Dartmouth women's play-off, but they may want a bigger location for a more popular men's play-off. Quinnipiac, Hofstra, and The Harbor Yard have been bandied about. Ultimately price and availability are going to rule the day though. I would assume the League will announce their contingency plan on Monday.

Harbor Yard is available Tuesday-Thursday, booked Friday.
Actually, I would guess not available Thursday because they'd have to set up for the weekend monster truck show that starts on Friday.

How about Army? Seats a hair over 5,000, just as big as Hofstra and a heck of a lot easier to get to, particularly for Harvard. For that matter, Carnesecca Arena at St. John's is bigger than either of them, though I don't know how much they would charge. Having this event in NYC would be great for media coverage, though.
Quinnipiac only seats about 3,500; if you're going to have it there, you might as well have it at Yale and save yourself the hassle and expense. U of Hartford is also a possibility, although again, at only 4,000 seats might not be worth it.

Harvard: Other than maybe former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell, no one will be rooting harder for the Penn Quakers on Tuesday than Crimson fans. Harvard students stormed the court after the win against Princeton, but that only assures Tommy Amaker’s team of a share of their first Ivy League crown. To win it outright, and to get the NCAA tournament automatic bid, Princeton has to lose to Penn. Otherwise, it’s a one-game, winner-take-the-bid game on Saturday at Yale.

The Worldwide leader seems to think the game will be at Yale but they also said Harvard had clinched a ticket to the dance so who knows how accurate their reporting is

Considering the number of fans who've traveled for Harvard and Princeton this season, Yale should be plenty big.
Is either school on break?
But to the best of my knowledge Princeton isn't actually in the playoff yet.

At this point, this is unconfirmed. Apparently ESPN is incorrect in its reporting as of now. Not to say it won't end up there, just that it isn't a done-deal yet.

I can't believe the League office is waiting until the last minute to determine this.

I also don't think its good karma for anyone officially associated with Princeton to be talking publicly about a play-off game. Any such pronouncements would be exhibit A for the Penn locker room. Perhaps Princeton asked the league to keep a lid on it.

I don't have any reason to believe that the league is withholding the decision based on potentially jinxing Princeton.
They're nailing down the site and I'm 100 percent sure that site/date will be out before tip tomorrow.
In the past, they've announced this info last week, so it's probably just ironing out last minute logistics.

Didnt last year or the year before the league announced playoff info 1 to 2 weeks early?

Wonder if it will get on tv, maybe ESPN will kick the WAC women's tournament off the U or the Southland tournament off ESPN2

Ivy twitter:
It is now confirmed...the Ivy MBB potential MBB one-game playoff will be at Yale's Lee Amphitheater on March 12 at 4 p.m. on ESPN3.com.
Its a shame they couldnt get it on tv, has to be more viewers than the Southland final or women's WAC final
I guess existing contracts might prevent them from finding a time slot, should teach the league a lesson that they need a conference tournament to get on tv

Still, it's pretty exciting to see yet another national broadcast of Ivy b-ball. Bodes well for increased coverage in the future. Even if we can't get actual televised games on ESPN, just having more (and free) ESPN3 streams would be a HUGE help considering how god-awful most Ivy video feeds are.

I haven't been to New Haven since the demonstrations after Kent State in 1971. If I get a burst of energy and drive five hours for the game, where would one eat? Is the pizza as good as they say on those TV shows?
