I know its early but is there any news on possible opponents for next year. Any tourney? If I remember correctly I believe Patsos said we were playing @Wake and @Kentucky. I found a link that we are hosting Florida Gulf Coast over Thanksgiving. That game will pack Reitz I'm sure.

It is amazing to me that we have never played Maryland during the Patsos era. The excuse I remember was that they were waiting for Fo-fo-fana to graduate. I think that was 4 seasons ago...

Yes it's always been one excuse after another. First was Collins, then Fofana, then the out of conference games are committed to 2 years in advance. I don't think I've heard Shane Walker as the latest reason, but I'm sure if asked that would be the answer.

Having said that though, I can't complain too much about the money games we've gotten. Over the years we've played Illinois, Kansas, Duke, NCSt., Indiana (Victory!), Georgetown. I don't know that playing MD would necessarily be any better other than some local interest. I wonder if it has more to do with MD not wanting to do it.

I think MD had more to do with it than us. Maryland has a history of not playing the locals under Gary. In the last few years they did play American and Morgan but thats it. They haven't played us, Towson, Coppin, GW, Georgetown, Navy, UMBC. Playing MD would be cool but playing the money games like Brian mentioned does make it easier to deal with.

I would bet GW comes on the schedule, if not this year sometime soon.

Why did Debbie Yow stop it? Because of her feud w/ Gary or did she not like Patsos as well?

I find it hard to believe that the AD would get involved in such an insignificant thing such as scheduling a MAAC school for an early season win. Does an AD have say on such minor matters like OOC scheduling?

The GW AD posted on twitter that a deal had been signed for Loyola to play @ GW I assume this year. I wouldnt mind a series with GW as they should be a decent mid pack A10 team

This is a year when we ought to be able to play with a team like MD...they are way down, and we have all this "veteran talent"

The game at Kentucky is on Dec.22. Marist also plays Kentucky in Lexington this year.
