Audrey Dieujuste 6'0 225LB ILB from Boynton Beach Florida

Believe this is our first commit this year with any stars. Doesn't mean much though. Confirmed on Twitter this morning

@jeffgreer
Boynton Beach FB/LB Audrey Dieujuste texts to say he signed with Bucknell last night.

Blog about his commitment. Boynton Beach, btw, is a bit north of Fort Lauderdale. As most of you know, Florida - especially South Florida - is an extremely strong football area.

It wasn’t official until last night, but the decision was a relief for Audrey Dieujuste. Boynton Beach’s hard-hitting, hard-running senior signed with Bucknell.

Dieujuste (6-0, 225 pounds, No. 44 on the Big Board) chose the small Pennsylvania school over Navy and Dartmouth, his coach Rick Swain said. It was an interesting (and at times confusing) process for the bruising two-way player. It was long thought that he’d committed to Navy, but Dieujuste repeatedly denied those rumors.

Instead, he’ll play for Bucknell, a Patriot League school that competes in Division I-AA (FCS). Bucknell was 6-5 last season.

Dieujuste was a critical part of Boynton’s rebirth in 2011, which saw the Tigers finish 5-5 after a miserable 2-8 campaign in 2010. Dieujuste ran for 267 yards and eight touchdowns, and made the Post All-Area Small Schools team as a linebacker.
2012-13 Attendance: 19 games and 8,354 miles driven.

Here is a link to Lehigh Football Nation's list of BU recruits. It's way behind - but he has linked youtube video highlights for many of the players. Regan's highlight film is particularly impressive, and it's clear he has the kind of speed suggested by his 4.37 combine time in the 40 - which if accurate makes him one of the faster BU RB's ever. I believe Cherry Hill East plays at a fairly good level of competition. (Matty G?)

Yup - both Cherry Hill schools (East and West) play in the incredibly tough Olympic Conference. It's added quite a few schools since my day, but it's widely regarded as the toughest of all South Jersey (and possibly all of New Jersey) conferences for many sports, including football. Very high level of competition.

One more commit from two weeks ago:

6'6" 305 lb OT Kenny Barrett from Tampa (FL).

Might be an interesting prospect since he has only played one year of football at this point. He is reportedly a good baseball player, so he is probably a good athlete. His team advanced to the semis of Florida 3A (out of 8 groups) before losing to the eventual champs.

After one season of organized football, Berkeley Prep OT Kenny Barrett has earned a college scholarship.

Buccaneers coach Dominick Ciao announced Monday that Barrett -- also a standout baseball player for Berkeley -- has committed to Division I-AA Bucknell following a weekend visit. He'll become the sixth senior from the Bucs' 2011 team to sign.

"It just turned out to be a great fit," Ciao said. "He went up there this weekend and loved it."

Combining his size (6-foot-6, 305 pounds) with natural athleticism, Barrett flourised almost immediately on the Bucs' front, helping pave the way for an offense that averaged more than 300 yards a game and came a victory shy of the Class 3A state final.

As a junior in 2011, Barrett hit .292 with seven home runs for the baseball team, and is hitting .417 through four contests this season.
2012-13 Attendance: 19 games and 8,354 miles driven.
