Has same team as last year who beat Loyola by 10 pts at Loyola, Bucknell has won 16 in a row at home, Can we win this game?

Actually Bucknell replaced a senior at PG with a freshman, but I've seen him play a couple of times and the kid looks pretty good.

That said, this is the game I feel will show us if Loyola is truly better this year. Agree with maacballer that both teams are essentially the same two that squared off at Evergreen last Dec, a game I think the Hounds should have won based on having more talent.

However, on the floor, Bucknell totally outplayed and outcoached them.

So far, Hounds have looked much better than I've seen in a while in terms of playing like they have a clue about what they want to do. Makes me wonder if D’Alessio has made a difference on the bench? Jimmy did not just wake up and become a better game coach, did he?

Thought D’Alessio was brought into recruit, but maybe he can coach ‘em up too? Have not seen a game in person yet, hard to assess that sort of thing during a TV broadcast.

Bottom line, Hounds have more talent than Bucknell, so if they can deliver a W on the road tonight, time to maybe start feeling good about a being a legit contender for the MAAC title this year? Wish this game was on TV.

Nice win at Bucknell 72-67. Etherly had a big game as did Cormier and Drummond. Snapped an 18 game home winning streak for Bucknell. Hopefully this leads to good momentum heading into MAAC play. The first few MAAC games are winnable so we need to get off to a good start to keep pace with Iona and Fairfield.

Bucknell is arguably the best team in the Patriot League, but Patriot is a notch below the MAAC, so a game you should win. So more of a good game to "not lose" like they did last year. Still, on the road against a pretty solid team on a streak, I'd agree that's a nice win.

A little concerned that Muscala put up 24, even though 8 were from the line. Muscala is 6' 11" and a good shooter but Etherly and Walker should be able to defend him, especially down low.

If Etherly ever develops an offensive game he could be MAAC Player of The Year candidate. Love his hustle and the way he rebounds.

Also agree you gotta win these next few "easy" MAAC games at home and maybe go on the road and steal one from Iona or Fairfield. All in all, a good start to the season and looking forward to getting down to Evergreen and seeing how they look in person

loy played well tonite even though calls were going to bucknell's favor the whole second half, there were two tech calls that should not of been, a charge that was not a charge, a tip in by walker that was ruled interfernece that was not, great job by our guards stopping bucknell three pt shooters, had a tough time with Bucknell's big man, good crowd at Bucknell stadium 90 % filled
