Heading over to the Canisius game. Just spun out in the morning snow and ran over a stop sign...
Anyone else gonna be there? MacDog? Wik? Honeydippin'? Grubka? Can't wait to see Jimmy with his salt 'n pepper hair.

I'm enjoying my Sunday in lovely northern Virginia. Is the game being webcast anywhere?

Ha... if he keeps doing that I'm fine with him playing.. just hasn't been doing that at all. In all honesty, think about his career and that might have been the best game Walker has ever played in a Loyola uniform.
Canisius did start 4 guards today.. and their big man was a whopping 6'6"... so I'm skeptical that he can continue to do this. But good for him.. we need him to play at least 75% of that if we want to beat Iona when it matters

Some observations from today's game:
-Joe Winter sat two rows in front of me; great guy.
-Mike Tuck's dad, or an old man that has a replica Tuck jersey, was in the house - which makes sense considering Tuck is Canadian.
-Cormier didn't play. Is he injured?
-Drummond was nursing what looked like a pulled hammy or groin the entire game.
-Walker had a nice day. Scored most of his buckets flashing to the high post and showed a nice mid-range jumper. He also took a few ill-advised 3's.
-Olson has improved considerably since the Bonaventure game, but forced some really bad shots. Played significant minutes and contributed on the boards. Dickey 2.0?
-Offense was pretty stagnant at times. Lack someone that can get to the hoop off the dribble, though Cormier may be that guy. Didn't try to push the ball at all.
-Winbush has ZERO offensive game, but is a solid rebounder and wiry defender.
-Who is Wandrusch? Jimmy goes to the end of the bench and talks to him a lot.
-Jimmy got into it with a drunk Canisius fan who was heckling him the entire game. Reminded me of our days in Reitz

Good to get out of upstate NY trip with the two wins, especially with Cormier out with injury.
I don't have much inside information, but from the Loyola article after the Niagara game, Patsos mentioned that Cormier is recovering from an ankle injury. Don't know the severity of the injury, but hopefully a week off should have him good to go for Friday against Rider.

Jimmy getting into it with a drunk fan might be entertaining but he needs to learn block that stuff out. Nothing good will come out of doing that stuff
Agree if we could get 75% of that from Walker every game, we'd all be happy. Although I do admit part of me likes JP being loyal to a senior. With programs at our level, that's a strong selling point for what are going to be 4-year guys.
No idea who Wandrusch is but I noticed he got 45 seconds in the St Peters game last week too.
Not critical to win the reg season but sure would be a nice feather in their cap...as St Peters showed last year, anything can happen come tournament time

I talked to Loyola's trainer last night. Cormier injured his ankle in a practice, if I remember correctly. Luckily, he was taped up so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. He was suited up and could have played Sunday vs. Canisius, but Patsos kept him on the bench to prevent any further injury unless they got into a situation where they needed Dylon. He's been practicing this week and will be fine to play.
