Even with the caveat of few data points and recognizing that the personnel is quite different, the most interesting stat for me here is the +9 rebounding margin that Georgetown has.

I think this is the one thing that I'll really miss about JTIII's version - focus on hitting the boards, especially the offensive glass. I saw the Joe Scott Tigers in person for the first time against Holy Cross and they did okay hitting the offensive boards (as much of a Carril disciple as he is, he seems not to coach "everybody back!" as soon as a shot is launched) but JTIII's teams really attacked the glass.

When Georgetown misses shots:
vs. Temple - G 17 off reb, T 23 def reb (42.5%)
vs. Citadel - G 16 off reb, C 19 def reb (45.7%)
at Davidson - G 9 off reb, D 11 def reb (45.0%)
42 off reb (14/g) of 95 possible (44.2%)

I am very interested to see if they can keep up that pace against better competition. Illinois comes in next week, and of course UConn, Syracuse, and Pitt are ahead with physical rebounding teams.

It should be pointed out that Logan and Schaen had a lot to do with Princeton's rebound margin last season.
