Why the silence? This is the weekend when Harvard can put the league championship away. Or, one of the Ps could make it much more interesting.
Any thoughts?

We're just basking in the aura of Linsanity, perhaps. Wow, 2 covers of SI in a row, and great coverage on Cheng Ho, and his friendship with J.
On your topic, I went to the two Harvard home games with our daughter this past weekend, while she is looking at Brown, Brandeis & Harvard (as an applicant). The team looks pretty fierce. Neither game was very close, although Yale crept within 3 scores in the 2nd half before H put that one away.
The final Harvard run was punctuated by a Brandyn Curry slam dunk and posterization of Mangano the Malevolent Link to posterizing dunk that 6'1", 195 lb. Brandyn Curry executed over 6'10" 240 lb. Greg Mangano in Saturday night's showdown game.
I'm going to leave the predictions to the experts on this coming weekend's games. No need to tempt fate. All I can say is that both Princeton and Penn are excellent teams, and this weekend's games could go either way. All 3 of these teams should be eligible for post-season play.

I agree with you on this statement. But Harvard should be the best of the top three teams...

Should be....
They could sell 10,000 seats for these games.

Of the three, Harvard has the best players ... and the third best coach. If Amaker doesn't win the league outright this year, he should stick to recruiting and leave the coaching to someone else.

Now that we know that three point defense is all luck, Harvard is past due to regress to the mean by giving up a couple of 50% performances.

He's been asking for it the whole time. Brian is the most passive aggressive on Mike on this whole site. And that's saying something.

Pomeroy has added a lot more about three point offense and defense as well as two point field goals and free throws:

Re: Harvard vs. Princeton
At Princeton, the Tigers got a lot of layups in the 2nd half on back picks, cuts, and post-ups that were successful at least in part because Harvard was so intent on staying on the perimeter shooters that there was no defensive help.
Harvard held Davis to 3 points and held Princeton to three made threes in the game, but Bray, Koon, Connolly, and Darrow each scored 10 to 12 points to go with Hummer's 20. A lot of their points were layups.
If Harvard changes how it defends the cuts and back picks to do more switching, hedging, or helping, Princeton may get better perimeter looks for Davis and Saunders. Then a lot will depend on whether this is one of their hot nights or one of their cold ones.

Guess the money line isn't getting in the Princeton bets. What's the spread?

We did it! The home streak is now 28!
But Penn and Yale need to lose tonight if we can get the first ever 2012 Big Dance bid tomorrow.

The scoreboard says 67-64. Good game. Princeton has improved steadily throughout the year.
