Does anyone have any insight into why the MAAC went with ESPN3 only coverage of the men's q-finals and semi-finals. I assume it had to do with $ but in the long term this can only hurt interest in the league.

is this different than years' past? (I don't even remember it being on espn3, so this might be more coverage?)
I guess MSG used to get the earlier rounds, but now that I'm no longer living in NY, that matters less
I thought it was always espn3/MSG/MASN(?)for early rounds and then bumped up to espn2 for the conference championship (espn, espn2, and espnu cover every conference's championship, I know that one)

For years the games were on Empire and MSG and after Empire's demise, I watched on MSG. Matt Sarz link from last year confirms this:

Maybe to you...
MSG had covered the MAAC since I was a student. Now they cover the NEC one weeknight and and one weekend game every week.
Kind of sad that the NEC gets more exposure than the MAAC ever did. The NY metro area is the base of the MAAC and you wouldn't know it now.
