Absolutely. This is why it sort of irks me to read all of the nonsense that Kyle Fogg (among others) had to say after the game trying to rationalize the loss. Chalk it up to lack of preparation and motivation all you want, guys.

Not only that, but I find it incredibly disrespectful when teams say they only lost because they weren't motivated or prepared. That completely takes away from the team they played against, which, in this case, was the better team.

Plus, those comments tell a lot about the individuals making them. I'm also guessing that the coaching staff does not like to hear that their team felt they lacked motivation and preparation. Why not not just come out and say the coaches did not do their job?

One item that was discussed on the HC board was the BU defense after MM got his fourth foul. IMO a team should have a zone if they need to hide a star who has four fouls. If BU had a good 2-1-2/2-3 I would have liked to see it for a few possssions at that point. Things worked out well but it could have been different. It was painful to see MM foul out (even if it was a questionable foul) while being isolated on a smaller, quicker player.

Don't know if it was mentioned that Fogg - who was a 1st team All PAC-12 selection this year - was held to 5 points and 1 rebound in 37 minutes. In the 26 minutes he was guarded by Cohen, he had zero points.

I found this the most interesting line in the article. Would we have been an above 500 team in this years PAC12?

I really hope we get to test that statement, given that Stanford may wait in the third round.
