Interesting how the announcers, both from P-burgh, keep talking about Pitt's proclivity to implode if Tigers can make a run.

Got it under 20. Reeling Panthers call a timeout. Tigers have them right where they want them. Only two or three miracles away from respectability.

Pitt getting rattled. Three empty trips in a row.

The magic 15 point line.
But we keep missing lots of little chances to chip away. Missed TO, Hummer basket nullified due to charging, etc.

Tigers yet to take a FT, Pitt's taken 7. Tigers still have 12 fewer FGAs, mostly due to hideous rebounding. The margin has basically been stable since the first half.

Hummer hits 2 FTs, steals the ball, hits a layup! Let's at least scar their fragile psyches.

Down to 13. Respectable! And Pitt just fouled again.

We keep missing the little opportunities - another 6-8 points have slipped away.
Looks like Pitt has caught its breath.

Robinson and Paterson have just dominated the boards, and Robinson has hit a ton of layups (mostly assisted). Great for them, but c'mon on D.

Pat getting his money's worth on shot attempts at the end of his career. I wish he and DD could have gone out on a happier note.

Well, good luck to Penn in repping the League.
Unfortunately, it looks like they scored fewer points than Tigers did in the 1H.
Edited by sparman on 03-19-12 08:58 PM. Reason for edit: Saw the Penn scoreboard. Ouch.

I have that one recorded. Butler's man-to-man defense is nasty, so I'm not entirely shocked.

Penn had plenty of open looks. They just weren't falling. Also, Rosen was absolutely mauled.

Butler makes everybody look bad shooting. Even UConn looked pretty bad in last year's NC game--it was just that Butler looked even worse offensively.

Well that's the first Princeton post season game I missed even hearing on radio in over 20 years. Looks like I picked the right one! A poor man's version of he Mississippi St. come down after the UCLA game.
Seriously when is the last time--if ever--that the Tigers gave up 80 points 2 games in a row?
(and I remember the UNLV game)
