I don't know how involved Penn was (I suspect there was no offer) but this was a kid Penn was mentioned as watching and having some interest in:
Alex Kline
2013 Neumann Goretti (PA) wing Johnnie Davis has verbally committed to Towson.

The Daily News story on his committment did not mention Penn among the schools who had been following him.

Former Pepperdine commit Dylan Jones announced that he's cut his list to 4 schools: Tulsa, Holy Cross, Sam Houston and Penn.
ESPN 2*/Rivals 3*/Scout NR
Here's a recent write-up on him:
2013 6-7 F Dylan Jones is a player that you want to go battle with. The athletic forward is starting to see the benefit of being an energy player at all times. He is an effective offensive rebounder, runs the floor well and finishes above the rim. He's working hard to add a reliable 15-footer to his game. Jones has offers from Rice, Penn, Tulsa, James Madison, Sam Houston, La Tech, Brown and Tulane. He has official visits to Tulane on Sept. 29th and Brown on Sept. 22. James Madison will be in on a home visit this week.

He was originally committed to Pepperdine but reopened his recruitment late in the summer.

I realize it looks like the class is closed but Aram Martin (previously mentioned as holding a Penn offer by Alex Kline) claimed to ESPN this weekend that he still hold a Penn offer.
I think it's unlikely, but who knows?

He's described as a small forward. God knows we could use one of those.
I wonder why ESPN doesn't have a profile for him?

Sorry if this did not come through. Web site indicated he is 6'9" and has a GPA of 3.93. A not so small forward for whatever it's worth.

Don't know if we were interested or had room in class, but either way he committed to Mike Martin and Brown. Looks like a really nice pickup for them.
