Ever since Ibby's monster dunk at the end of the game at the Palestra in their first D-1 year, Florida Gulf Coast has been out to get us.

Looks like so many of the guys listed in this thread are guards. Where are the big guys? Maybe we need to make a trade with Harvard...

Keep in mind that our coaching staff seems to be far less forthcoming than Harvard's about whom they're pursuing. So, we have no way of knowing who else is in the mix. Hopefully some more topnotch frontcourt players are on the way.

I highly doubt academics were a problem. Would Jerome waste a visit on an attitude problem? I know there were other kids being considered for visits so I'm thinking no there as well. Soooooo.

Maybe Jerome had to abide by the A1 rule of only one Hicks per team.

To go one step further, I bet there will be some names on here the staff has never even heard of. This is mainly a thread to pass the time during the summer.

Marcus Helton

Eleanor Roosevelt 2013 F Malachi Alexander has offers from Holy Cross and UMBC, w/ interest from Cornell, Penn, Bucknell, Lafayette + more.

Edit: He's been listed on Penn's interest page on Rivals for a while, but that's probably still not a great, actual indicator of interest.

Not a player update, just news that ESPN has, yet again, changed their recruiting grading system in an effort to continue having the most inconsistent, incoherent recruiting analysis available:

University of Pennsylvania Has Expressed Interest In 2013 5'11 Pg Nyrryk Evans

Also, an article linking Anthony Dallier to 3/4 of the Ivy League:

Really, 3 R's?

It would be great to have another Quaker without a Vowel (although it admittedly has a better ring when the kid goes to Temple).

Cue up the Major League references:

Justin Byerly
Brandon Dorn, a 5'11, 2013 out of East Henderson (NC) has been hearing from Yale, Penn and Harvard as of late.

Also, if the Penn Basketball Twitter account is to be believed, this weekend is Penn's elite camp. I'd guess (hope?) there will be some reports of unofficial visits.

Of course, none of the kids who were reported as unofficially visiting, last year, actually committed, but that's neither here nor there.

As long as we're on the subject:

Cubs are currently playing the BoSox at Wrigley, and
Boston has a battery of Matsuzaka and Saltalamacchia, which has to be a record of some sort.

Four McGlynn was granted his release by Vermont. He was the AE Rookie of the Year last season. He's from York, PA and had Ivy interest coming out of HS. UVm people have speculated that Penn could be a landing place.

Unlikely. We already have a 6'2" transfer coming in.
