Score. I was really hoping we'd land this kid specifically and that Paulsen would be able to cash in on his recent on-court success to land somewhat higher level recruits generally.
Ranked 25th in the state's class of 2013 by Texashoops.com (Rivals)... not shabby considering Texas typically sends 15-20 players to BCS conferences each year.

Stat page:

Averaged 24.1 ppg. Hit 52% on twos, 40% on threes, 81% from the line. Averaged 3.5 apg (second on team). A:TO ratio (likely not accurate): 1.32:1 .
One good sign is his performance from January to the end of the year: 28 ppg, 56% on 2-pointers, 48% on 3-pointers, and 87% from the line. His final four games - districts and states - produced the following stats: 33 ppg, 57% on 2-pointers, 46% on 3-pointers, and 88% from the line.

In response to Bison137
I may be completely wrong but I have a feeling that he may end up being a PG the way Bryson Johnson did. Looking at Azzinaro's scoring ability and his 40%+ shooting on threes - plus descriptions of him that mention a great ability to shoot off the dribble - I could easily see his role being more of a SG offensively - especially given that BU will have three other PG's when he arrives. His size (5'10" or perhaps 5'11") wouldn't be a liability defensively since he could guard the other team's PG while the bigger PG's (Hill/Kaspar) guarded the SG.
Based on his H.S. stats this past year, it appears he may have already been playing a fair amount off of the ball. He averaged 3.5 apg but Brennan had another starting guard who rarely scored but led the team in assists with 4.0 apg.

One of the articles I linked above mentions that he is part of a military family and once attended four schools in four years. Apparently his family moved again. I wonder if he will complete his final year of H.S. in Texas or play for a new Arizona team.
By next year, BRW, maybe his family will move back to San Antonio.

The linked article above from "areacodesnation" says the following: "The 5 foot 11 2013 prospect from Brennan High School in San Antonio, TX picked Bucknell over Rice, Pepperdine, UNC Greensboro, Albany, UC Irvine, Houston and Army." If worded properly, those would have to be offers. Putting the two lists together, BU presumably beat out Rice, Houston, and Evansville among others.

That's a pretty dangerous assumption to make. 'Picked over' lists are often grossly inflated.

I like that this article lists Azzinaro as one of the Top 10 West Coast PG to watch in July:
http://www.areacodesbasketball.com/2012/07/31/azzi...
Phoenix, AZ – Area Codes Basketball has learned that 2013 PG John Azzinaro gave a verbal last night to Bucknell.
“Bucknell has been watching me since day 1, and I feel this is going to be the best situation for my career and education”, said Azzinaro.
Azzinaro visited Bucknell last summer on an unofficial and got to know the staff, also he visited Oregon State University because of his relationship with assistant coach David Grace.
“It was a tough decision because Rice also recruited along side with Bucknell and stood by watching John the entire time as well. Adam Cohen did an outstanding job recruiting John, and we want to thank the Rice coaching staff for their support”, said John Azzinaro Sr.
Azzinaro played aau basketball this summer with Etop Udo-Ema and the Compton Magic team The Magic (AZ) based out of Arizona where his family resides. Azzinaro played in several Area Codes Basketball events and Chad Groth’s Elite 8 in the Desert and was selected All-Tourney.
Azzinaro also played in the Full Court Presss All-West Camp in Long Beach, CA the past couple years and was selected to the All Star Game in the camp.
Chad Groth of Area Codes Basketball Scouting Service ranked John Azzinaro as one of the Top 10 PG on the West Coast to watch this July.
“Johnny is a very smart player with a high basketball IQ. He understands the game and can score the ball either getting to the basket or with a mid-range pull up, one of the quickest ball handlers I have seen this spring and summer and is a tough defender. Johnny is also an excellent student with honors and he will do fine at Bucknell”, said Groth.
Azzinaro also spent time playing with Vernon Holmes of the Arizona Dream Team while in Phoenix. “Azzinaro is a great kid and one of the best guards I ever coached, said Holmes.
The 5 foot 11 2013 prospect from Brennan High School in San Antonio, TX picked Bucknell over Rice, Pepperdine, UNC Greensboro, Albany, UC Irvine, Houston and Army.

It was kind of tough to hear the interview, but I think that Azzinaro said that he was first team all state or first team all city. Which is correct?
Also, the coach talked about him being a pass first PG who lead San Antonio in scoring. Does anybody know if he can shoot the 3?

He can definitely shoot the three. Shot 76-192 (40%) last season. Better, he hit 48% on threes during the second half of the year. Despite the "pass first" comments, it's clear he often played off the ball, since he didn't even lead his team in assists. I expect he will see significant time at SG on offense, perhaps taking over the Bryson Johnson role.
One thing I'm excited about is that he can reportedly shoot accurately off the dribble - something that very few BU players have been able to do. I'm not talking about taking a jump shot after a soft dribble or two, with no close defender - but rather pulling up quickly for a mid-range jumper after making an aggressive move to the basket while tightly defended.
