Interesting news about Martin rounding out his a staff. Pina seems to have good experience down the road at Bryant, and I guess Snyder is what you'd expect to get for the 3rd assistant (and he looks like a nice enough get.)
But all in all, is there a collectively younger coaching staff in D1?

Is there any consensus on whether kids would rather play for younger coaches they can identify with, or for a "Name" one who is older?

I'm not passing judgment on the collective age of our coaching staff. I'm just wondering if there's a younger staff out there.
I would guess that players at our level would prefer a younger to an older coach, but I don't really know. You can make an argument that older coaches should be better at the things that come with more seasoning - game strategy, game management, player development. But I doubt there's too much data out there on that.

Wouldn't it have been wiser to have hired a tall coach to work with the big men?
I notice that all the coaches were guards.
