After the post on Delco pro am who do you think will have impact on the 2013-2014 season Howard, Bagtas, Jones Winfield or Trout?

Howard. He has the size to play the 3 and appears to have some defensive chops. Plus from the limited amount I saw online of his HS games the guy has a motor. There's a good chance he can contribute immediately more on the defensive end than the offensive end. That's unusual for a freshman.

Bagtas' HS team was online quite a bit - the guy can play the point but I have questions about whether he'll be ready on the defensive end. He might have more of a learning curve before he's ready to contribute.

I haven't seen much of Jones to comment on him. Winfield and Trout have both battled a number of injuries so the expectation bar is low on both of them. I've seen a little of Winfield, he has some quickness and has a build similar to Dave Sr., but it looks like he needs some development time. Troutt has a nice outside shot but I have no feel for the rest of his game - he's going to find himself behind PLP so it's doubtful he'll contribute much this year.

Standard caveat applies to my comments - I've seen a small sample size of these guys and I'm an amateur. I've seen real time footage of games played by Bagtas, Howard, and Winfield but not of Jones or Troutt.

This year hinges more on the development and health of the guys already in the program. And of course the ability of the coaching staff to improve team performance.

Winfield has yet to step on campus. Amongst the freshmen, word is the coaches are especially impressed with Howard and Jones.

Did we ever learn the story of Dylan's Pepperdine situation? All signs are pointing to this being a very underrated get. At least underrated by us when compared to the space Howard and more recently Bagtas have received around here.

I don't know anything about the decommit but Penn wasn't the only school interested in Dylan Jones after he decommited. Holy Cross in particular seemed to be very active in trying to get him.

His HS isn't as much on the radar as the ones Bagtas, Howard and Winfield went to, making it difficult for us outsiders on this board to evaluate him.

Sean Jones was an amazing DE in the NFL so Dylan has good genes at least.

Dylan Jones played 8 minutes a game for Rice this year as a graduate transfer. Scott Pera connection.
