Brooks: Averaged 4.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 16.7 minutes per game ... Only double-figure game came in an Ivy win over Dartmouth (2/22), also had nine rebounds for a near double-double against the Big Green ... Closed season with four points, four rebounds at Princeton (3/11) ... Also went for four points and four boards at Columbia (3/7)
Umm ok

You have to hit bottom before you can begin to climb again. Chin up ya'll.

But we all thought we had already hit bottom, before this news. I mean two straight 20 loss seasons & 7 years without a title (and counting).

It will be a struggle to win any Ivy games. Not to say they won't win any, but it surely won't be many.

At least they'll get a good new endowment if they do.

Of course, there's also that Will Rogers remark to the effect that, when you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is to stop digging.
I have no idea how to reconcile these two ideas.

That's the First Law of Holes, SM. When you find yourself in one, stop digging.
Problem is, in this case, the order to stop digging has to come from the AD's office, and there's no one paying enough attention to give the command.

Possibly the problem is that there's a 'hole in the AD's office.

One good sign is the lack of a signing of a coach to replace Pera. If Jerome were already extended he would have replaced Pera.

Who on earth in his right mind would sign on to an assistant position at Penn right now?

Someone with no coaching experience might be interested. Could be a stepping stone to the head coach position in a few months.

Sounds about right. I'd be shocked if he's ever fully healthy but we need many more Harrell's, not less. The fun continues.
As for Henry, best of luck to him.

Perhaps Henry is preserving his final year of eligibility for a grad school year somewhere else.

Even worse, they're still digging.
I have never felt this pessimistic about the state of our program.

Ok, we still have a potential line-up next year that includes Hicks and DNH, two very formidable Ivy players. Assuming all the injured return, we have Greg Louis at the 4, Matt Howard at the 3, and Jamal Lewis (who flashed some 3-pt potential this year) at PG. Crocker as back-up PG, and PLP with 3-pters off the bench. Front court depth with Dylan Jones and Winfield (dreaming, I know). An incoming freshman forward who seems to have some fight in him, and the PG/QB plus the PG from Pitman by way of St. Anthony's.
See, we'll finish ahead of both Cornell and Dartmouth. A new coach might even put us in the middle of the pack.
Unless... more transfers or arrests, and we sink further into despair. Come to think of it, it seems Bilsky's not even leaving the building...
