Does NBC have a clue what "Ivy League" means? They're using it as an adjective like "preppy" or "liberal arts". There's no reason to think "Penn" as we know it has anything to do with this show. It's likely to be some unidentified version of Swarthmore, who abolished its football program some years ago.

LG, I'm one of those, having followed this board for the past few years, who are under the impression that Penn is, in fact, starting up a new basketball program. Perhaps this new show isn't so far from reality. I, for one, am looking forward to the first episode of "The Real Housewives Of the Palestra."

Poor Digger Phelps "had to talk" literature with his ex wife. Must have been some quiet meals. Is it my on-coming Alzheimer's, or did Digger Phelps coach Penn for a few years back in the 70s?

He was an assistant coach under Dick Harter before he went to Fordham and eventually to Notre Dame.

Perhaps this new show isn't so far from reality.
Maybe if they dug up Ken Howard to reprise the White Shadow it would be pretty close to reality.
