Every year, I run a poll that I release right before the Ivy media teleconference (and the release of their Ivy Media Poll).

This year I will be doing the same. Now that we're through the usual "surprise person dropped out of school to preserve eligibility" phase of the season, you can feel free to update your predictions accordingly.

In order to be counted in the Fan Poll, you must rank all teams 1-8 (no groups or ties). You can also participate in the preseason POY, ROY and 1st Team voting.

The results will be released on Twitter probably on Tuesday the 20th or the morning of Wednesday the 21st right before the teleconference.

If either Rosenberg and/or Mullins are injured, Columbia may drop to 4th as Lo will not be able to carry the team on his back to an Ivy League title.

ROY - Johnson

1. Princeton--Returns 80% of last year's minutes
2. Harvard--Underestimated yet again. First time winner of #2BidIvy contest.
3. Yale--Will Boolah-Bully their way into 1st division again. Be shunned again by NIT.
4. Columbia--Much promise, but will break hearts of Polyanna fans yet again with late-season swoon.
5. Dartmouth--Potential to rise to 1st division if Lions really swoon late.
6. Penn--The "Steve Effect." And their games will be the most fun Ivy games to watch, as SD really releases Tony "Wild Thing" Hicks.
7. Brown--Everyone's gotten better faster.
8. Cornell--Not as good as Brown.

Quick observations of this season.

Harvard- lost its heart and soul this coming year. Saunders and Chambers. Saunders cannot be replaced,
McCarthy will have to mature quickly at an important role for Harvard to have any success like they have the last 8 years.

Yale- also lost 2 or more vital cogs in the machine. Sears will be his dominant self of course and Mason will have to at least repeat his success from last year. Copeland will have to play well and get minutes.

Princeton- Return a ton. Played very well at end of year, I truly believe they will dominate this year an their schedule will help as their most difficult games come Friday rather then the ill fated Saturdays on Ivy grind.

Dartmouth- Lost 100 minutes of starters, that being said, they still have the most experienced team an probably the best game coach. If they find scoring with Boudreaux and co. they will be a tough out for every team sans Princeton.

Columbia- If Rosenburg returns to his Jr. year prowess, other teams will have to step up and score. Lo is best in league and another scoring options frees him up quite a bit. Castlin has another year under his belt and should add some real spark. Now if only they can find some defense they might contend.

Cornell- Loss of Miller and Cherry is devastating, I find little hope they can beat being in the cellar unless Brown is even worse then I think they are. Wright and Davis will have to step up huge in their 1sr year.

Brown- I had them in my min as last place earlier this year but Cornell is so woeful they should come in 7th. Hopefully for them Fuller is better then advertised.

Penn- They have some talent on this team and could surprise if their heads are into it. If Donahue tries to play for the future it will be a bleak year this year.If Hicks can play to his all-star potential and Woods and Howard improve upon what were already decent years this team could surprise. I still think DNH is way overrated and slows this team down when they could really heat up if left to run.

Rankings for 2015/2016 to follow.

Just think McCarthy and Boudreaux will be called upon to be productive otherwise you can put Cannady with them.

If Hicks is a first team All-Ivy, Penn will do better than 5th. I couldn't make that prediction, so I had them there as well.

I don't necessarily disagree. The three teams I have in front of them could go in any order really. Only see Princeton shining through. Dartmouth is my reach team. I'm not completely sold on Columbia. Rosenberg Coming back from a year away is the wild card. Yale is very circumspect. As Harvard , Columbia or Penn could easily fit in there.
