The only post since spring is someone missing CBB. That's sad. Not as sad as the Yale board, since they're really good, but sad. I guess I understand, the sixth season for Bill Courtney was a head scratcher.
The previews are pretty dead on, though I think this team's D could be better than projected as Daryl Smith, Abdur-Ra'oof and Onuorah are all solid on that end. But unless one of those guys has improved dramatically this off-season, that starting line-up is going to be brutal on the offensive end.
I think it is interesting that the first freshman to get a start is Matt Morgan and not Stone Gettings. Morgan was a 2000 point scorer at his suburban Charlotte high school and could be a Nolan Cressler like surprise (though more slasher than shooter).
I wouldn't be surprised if Hatter challenges for the league scoring title, while setting a school record for shots taken. If so, that probably means a 8th place finish.

After last season I take nothing for granted on a trip to Ithaca.

A one-sided loss to GT was to be expected, but I didn't expect the guys to give up 116 to the Jackets. Watching the lack of defense and rebounding tonight makes me think Shonn Miller didn't get enough consideration for POY last.*
On the bright side, Gettings and Morgan looked promising.
*Obvious exaggeration, but the difference with him in and out of the line-up is staggering.

Like I said, this team will score just fine, but can't defend anyone. Seriously, I know Miller was terrific, but Onuorah is getting schooled worse than as a Freshman in the post.
Hatter is going to make some people very angry on this board.

It was a good win for this team, especially after giving up big leads in regulation and the first OT.

Down goes Binghampton under a barrage of treys, led by a freshman. Got to beat those bad teams to have a chance at being decent, so another good sign for the Big Red.

17 point wins, even over awful opponents, have been rare for this program lately.
Hatter has been Hatter, but Morgan and Daryl Smith have been the offensive surprises thus far. I've always liked Smith's skill set, even if he was a too deferential on the offensive end. Maybe his game saving play against Colgate will cause him to be more aggressive. He looked much more aggressive against Bingo.
