After first six games, possible Ivy League first team could be as follows:
Sears
Caruso
Lo
Mason
Either Sherrod, Edosowan or Boudreaux. Based on Ivy League play 18+ points - 8 rebounds per game, there is an argument for Sherrod plus setting NCAA record of 30 straight field goals but if you consider non-league play, it may well be Edosowan. If voting now for POY, it probably would be Sears followed by either Caruso or Lo but the order can all change based on the remainder of the year. I believe that projected first team has either 3 or 4 "2 star" recruits.

Rookie of the year might be Boudreaux, followed by Smith, followed by Cannady.

Coach of the year: Jones, Smith, Henderson

Eight more games plus voter's preference will probably change results. I am sure that others may have a better order than I have projected.

Matt Morgan obviously deserves consideration both for ROY and all Ivy.

How many current Ivy League players have scored 1000 pts., had 800 rbs. and blocked 250 shots? No consideration?

I was not impressed with Edosowan's play Friday or Saturday night.

Didn't miss any free throws though!
Actually, against Princeton, the rest of the team's FT shooting at 9-20 regressed to his mean (47.5%).

Hope he plays enough games to get the recognition. In my (biased) mind there is no question he is the best center in league by far. If you want to see his value, wait until Penn and Princeton play at Lavietes later in the season with Zena hopefully in the lineup.

You are correct sir that his FT shooting did not hurt you this past weekend. Hope he's back for Yale!

On both Boudreaux and Morgan, the fact that they haven't been able to elevate their teams works against them, especially when 3 league teams with upperclassmen stars seem to be dominating the league (so far). So I think they miss out on 1st team honors this year, and they probably still need to watch out for Cannady for ROY if Princeton manages to win the league. Who knows how many points Cannady would be scoring if he switched teams with Morgan.

Is there an Ivy award for the sixth man? If so, Cannady ought to be leading by a few furlongs.

Eight games in, Boudreaux is averaging a double-double in Ivy League play with 21.0 ppg and 10.8 rpg. That despite being forced to play out of position as an undersized post at 6-8.

Overall he is third in the Ivy League in scoring, third in rebounding, third in free throw percentage and first in free throws made.

Out of curiosity, how can you know he hasn't lifted his team? They lost Maldunas and Mitola, two 1,000-point scorers to graduation and without question their best players. Just where do you think they would be without Boudreaux?

He's a very good player and just a freshman. Great pickup for Dartmouth. He'll just get better.

Well, they are 2-6 in the Ivies with him, so they may be 0-8 without him?

On the other side, if you look at Princeton, they are 6-1 with Cannaday, and almost certainly are no better than 4-3 without him.

He may be a little undersized, but i think Boudreaux is playing the right position.
