Harvard up 33-17 at half.
Dominating boards 24-11 and grabbing loose balls. Columbia's shooting poorly though (6-25). Expect tighter second half when Columbia picks up shooting.
Zena (9pts, 8rbs) being swarmed.

Is it true that Harvard had a foul to give on Columbia's final possession?

According to my unofficial count, yes.
However you foul Rosenberg in a situation like that at your own risk. I don't know what the rules are about obvious off the ball fouls in the last minute.

HARVARDGRAD left his readers here in the lurch, not posting what happened after H was up by 4. And,he's MIA on the Columbia forum right now where he has opined often.

Yes, Amaker said they wanted to give that foul, but they didn't and then the clock got too low.

Sorry, but I was at the game and got focused
Good luck vs Yale next week!

And, gracious losers.
Nothing about the winner from the home team fans until today. HG posted real time scores...except the final one.

No offense meant. I believe I tried to note trends, not score updates. I look to ESPN for in game scores. Didn't intend to leave anyone hanging.
Had I intended to post scores, my final one would have been: Harvard up by 1, Corbin Miller at line with chance to ice the game .......
I do have other observations which I'll share later. Just drove back 4 hrs from Cambridge

I think we Columbia fans have no good reason to be this board especially after a victory over H, just poor form. We need to keep our heads down and hope the team prepares well for Yale.

Hey, I'm in too much shock to respond at all!
Speaking for myself, as a Harvard BBall fan, I've gotten spoiled by the past 5 years' results.
And internetter & I have more Ivy games yet to attend here in LA...if any of the local universities here are willing to stop "ducking" the Ivies.
MikeP, aren't you a West Coaster, too? If you're in LA, private message me and we'll get to one of these sometime.

Yep, I'm out here and always get to the game if Penn comes close, but I'd be interested in seeing other Ivys play too. I'll PM you.
Cheers

A recent article about learning to be a good loser and a good winner suggested the following:
"I do believe that it's vitally important that kids learn to become good losers. And it's perhaps even more important that they learn to become good winners too. Let's face it, we've all come across adults who failed to learn those lessons as a child. And those people have invariably grown up to be complete idiots whose company most people would jump through hoops to avoid."
Some people may have some challenges in going from good losers to good winners as well.

The final in any game trend is the score when time runs out. What could be more important!
All the rest is preliminary, inconclusive, useless.

So? I shared in person observations, go find scores on your own. Those in the know here go deeper. Those who don't wait for the final score and just root for their team. Hope it works for you this year. Last chance for a while.

As I wrote before, I watched the game on ILDN, in real time.
I went to this forum to see what was being posted and saw yours, having not seen any from you on the Columbia board where you have commented a few times.
Let's end this.
