So I have a little system I have picked up of tracking the race for the A8 title. Each team gets 1 point for a road win, 0 points for a home win and -1 for a home loss. Whenever I have done this, the team that comes in around +4 is usually the conference winner. Looking back, in 2012-13 Harvard was +4, Princeton +3 and Yale +1, which matched the final standings. In 2013 same thing, Harvard +6 (which is unusual), Yale +2, Princeton +1. In 2014-15 it was Harvard and Yale both at +4, Princeton +2 and Dartmouth 0, all of which matched the final standings.
So to think about it, winning at home is holding serve and winning on the road gives you an advantage. So far this year we have:
Columbia +3
Princeton +2
Yale +1
Cornell +1
Penn -1
Brown -2
Harvard -2
Dartmouth -2
Lots of games left.

After two weekends here is the updated standings
Columbia +4
Princeton +2
Cornell +1
Yale 0
Penn -1
Brown -3
Harvard -2
Dartmouth -2
Decided advantage to Columbia who hosts 2 big games this weekend to hold serve. Yale can pick up some ground on the road.

Sorry, Typo in the update. Here are the current standings on +/- scale, which is a simple barometer for the leaders for the Ivy title. +4 usually wins the league.
Columbia +4
Princeton +2
Yale +1
Cornell +1
Penn -1
Harvard -2
Dartmouth -2
Brown -3
Yale has had only 1 road game so could easily catch Columbia. Princeton goes on the road to Cornell/Columbia this weekend. We will know a lot more at the end of the 1st half of the round robin next weekend.

With just tonights game left (the only thing that can happen is Princeton's score goes down and Penn's up by) here is the update for games through 3/7
+1 point for a road win
-1 point for a home loss
0 for a home win or road loss
Champion is usually +4
Yale +6
Princeton +5
Columbia +3
Harvard -1
Penn -2
Brown -2
Dartmouth -3
Cornell -4
Really a remarkable season for Yale and Princeton. +4 wins the league virtually every year in history. Rarely will you see a +5 and I don't remember seeing a +6.

Great seasons by Yale and Princeton.
Harvard was +6 in 2013-14. 7-0 on the road and 6-1 at home. And of course Cornell was +7 in 08. Princeton and Harvard were both +5 in 2011 (last time there were two +5 or better in a season).
