Looks like Penn is a one-point dog tonight vs. Harvard. Also looks like no Zena for Harvard.

I take that back... Checking out the game on ESPN.com, and they're showing Penn is favored by one...

It's been nearly 7 years (Feb. 21, 2009) since the last time Penn was favored over Harvard.

Does ESPN reflect whether Zena or Cummins are playing?

We're really going to miss him next year. He has been excellent around the hoop tonight.

Once again a lot of ticky tack fouls on Penn. Meanwhile Penn getting hammered down the other end with nothing being called.

Most interesting thing about the later stages of this game, besides Howard and DNH looking great, is that SD has Foreman running the point and Silpe is on the bench.

Finally has Jake back in there although not exactly a confidence builder at the FT line.

We will probably pull it out, but we continue to have problems knowing how to seal a lead.

Three Penn players tonight with double-doubles (DNH, Matt Howard, & Max R). Anyone know when the last time that happened?

Silpe was on the bench because of the officials, not Foreman. The spectrum of Darnell Foreman is as great as you'll see. He'll make two of the worst decisions possible and then throw a bullet pass to Rothschild for a layup after getting caught in the air. We will sorely miss DNH but it's really nice to see Max's game develop.
I'm shocked at how mediocre Harvard is without Endoswoman. You can see something in the two freshman and that McCarthy neck takedown of Jackson had been building, but they looked like the 1-5 team they are. Brick after brick leading to an insane rebounding advantage. The turnovers were bad again and having three turnovers while trying to inbound the ball and seal the game is unacceptable, but beating Tommy is very contenting.

They should have had Howard or someone with a bit more length and height inbound. The smaller guards were having great difficulty.
Everything was going in tonight for the big men--nice to see. Beats having to rely on the '3' which far more often than not, at least for this squad, is not a winning proposition.

Can I borrow the lens you seem to be looking through that makes you think Silpe is so much better than or any less prone to mistakes than Foreman? Not sure what their comparative numbers were tonight but I would imagine they were similar. While defensively I'd have to give the nod to Foreman.

Just looked at the boxscore and the numbers tonight don't really support my theory. Regardless I still don't believe there's a signifigant difference.

Not sure what I said tonight that was positive about Jake other than he was on the bench in foul trouble and not a coaches decision, but yes I do think Silpe needs to play more than Darnell. The biggest difference between the two is that Jake makes these mistakes with less than 400 minutes under his belt while Darnell has 900. I have to think that the advanced stats support him as well. The assist to turnover ratio this year sure does.

Quick question: if I had posted that Chuck Daly visited me in a dream last night and told me that Penn would win by 10 and three Penn players would record double-doubles, you would think I had 1-2 too many Stolis...
Big win tonight!!!!
