I'm sure Lo will get a few minutes of playing time in Summer League games, but it isn't a good sign. Needless to say, an undrafted player needs to really impress in the Summer League to stick with a team, and Lo won't get that chance.
Hopefully, he can play for a high level European team for a year or two, and then sign with an NBA team. That's a better option than the D-League.

Okay. Hope he shows well, there are certainly spots for guards on the Sixers bench.

Not exactly. I think he played some every game, but I think he came off the bench until the breakout against Wall.

Another former Ivy guard that played in the Summer League for the Pistons in 2007, and Lakers in 2010 was Ibrahim Jaaber.

And Zack Rosen in 2012. There have been a bunch of Ivy kids who played.
I know Kyle Casey played both summer league and NBA preseason (briefly before getting cut). Wesley Saunders and Keith Wright have played summer league (and managed to get traded for each other in NBA D-League).

Add TJ Bray to that list. Ian Hummer played too. On the way back list, add Brian Cusworth to the tally. We get lots of guys into summer league and some into the D-League. It's not a rare event by any stretch. It's just rare to seem them get NBA contracts. Pretty sure Ibby could have if he wanted to, but he was making much more in Europe, IIRC.

Solid game for Lo today. 13 pts on 5-8 shooting (2-4 on 3PA) along with 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and +4 in 24 minutes. He also had 3 PF and 2 TOs.

Another solid 8 point performance on 3-6 shooting, to go with 5 rbds. Lo registered a +8, in a winning effort.
The next hurdle is to get invited to the 76ers training camp in early October.

A glowing article on why the 76ers should sign Maodo Lo, from ESPN Fanside:

The thing that might make Lo viable where other smart, skilled Ivy guards would struggle is what the writer didn't say: Lo isn't too slow. There is a chance he could guard people well enough to stay on the floor.

One of his possible rivals on GER team, Schroeder, has pulled out, giving Maodo a better chance to shine. Schroeder played ahead of him last summer.

Not sure how much chance there will be for anyone to shine with the German team this year. They didn't qualify for the Olympics in EuroBasket last summer, and they didn't participate in the final play-in tournaments earlier this year, so they won't be in Rio. Is there much non-Olympic international competition this summer?
