They'll do their talkin on the court. Expect Yale will give the Tigers another butt kickin. This years Ivy title was decided on October 29, 2011 when Justin Sears picked Yale over Princeton.

To the contrary. From what I have observed Yale is extremely focused on one thing - winning the League outright! These experienced players had many months to think about what they almost accomplished last year, and how the NIT dissed them thereafter. I'm sure Sherrod feels like he owes his teammates, and Sears might as well (ala the final plays at Dartmouth). Watching them in Cambridge last Saturday, I assure you they intend to leave nothing to chance this time around.

According to today's Yale Daily News, the team's captain, Jack Montague, is not with the team. He missed last weekend's games due to personal reasons and is still dealing with that.

Montague, besides being the team's captain, is its best three point shooter. Not having him in the lineup takes away one of its necessary offensive weapons.
Additionally, this reduces an already thin lineup. They had been going with 7 players getting meaningful minutes. At least for this weekend, they will have that bench shortened.
Having this happen before a road game against a Princeton team with talent and momentum may be too difficult for Yale to overcome.

I'll take whatever advantage we can get. Tough blow for Yale, but not necessarily fatal. We've survived without Brase so far.

As it happens, they could have used some three-point shooting, going 1-12 for the game to PU's 8-20. That was the difference in the contest.

This Montague thing is enough to make you think that James Jones is destined to never reach the NCAA tournament.

From your keyboard to God's ears, but we have a long way to go, starting with Brown tomorrow night.
