Needs a new hairstylist, though.

Pivoting away from this hair discussion back to the main theme of the thread, I saw an article this morning on NJ.com about Richmond Aririguzoh, which seems to indicate his college plans are far from set. It says:
"Aririguzoh averaged 13.8 points, 12.1 rebounds and more than two blocks per game this season. He hopes to play Division 1 college basketball."
That's a far cry from saying he has made a commitment to Princeton.

There are two articles today from NJ.com on Richmond. The 1st, at about 6 AM, says he wants to play D-1 basketball. The second, at about 8 AM, refers to him being committed to Princeton.

The two articles have different by-lines, so different reporters wrote them. But you'd think the reporters or editors would be consistent on a fact like that.

There's no logical contradiction unless Princeton is planning to leave DI.

There's a process behind all of this folks. He's very likely to end up at Princeton, but you have to let the process play out.

"Richmond Aririguzoh, a 6-9 senior forward from Trenton Catholic Academy, will continue his education and play basketball next season at Princeton University.
The forward made his choice from a group of Ivy League universities and will join his older brother, Franklin, who is on the Tigers' track and field team, next season. Richmond said he is currently waiting on his formal acceptance letter from Princeton."

This just means he is probably waiting on his "likely" letter, which is his commitment from the school that he will be accepted, before he makes it official. Of course, like any Ivy recruit, none of this (likely letter, verbal commitment, official commitment) obligates him to attend Princeton.

Doubt it. Princeton sent out it's admissions letters last week. He either got in already, is retesting or going elsewhere.

Ivy applicants were able to see if they received admittance on 3/31/16. I don't believe there is any reason for current HS seniors to be waiting for a Likely Letter.

It is hard to believe he would not be admitted to Princeton. In addition to being a recruited athlete and the brother of a current Tiger athlete, he speaks three languages and was #2 in his class as a junior according to NJ.com

If he wasn't in the recruiting cycle until after applications were submitted then he applied later and could be easily waiting. That's not at all uncommon, although I have no idea when his recruitment started.

I expect we'll hear more this week. His interest in Princeton (and the school's in him) was never published in any of the recruiting sites so it's possible he was not part of the official team process and so may not have been In the running for a likely letter. Seems like a late bloomer who really improved a lot this year so he may just have been under everyone's radar.

Just catching up on this thread... was trying to be helpful in cutting through the confusion, but I want to make sure that one thing is clear: He's well qualified to be an Ivy recruit. There were no AI issues here.
