26-32 At the half. It appears that Princeton has not replaced the loss of Blake Dietrich while Penn's outstanding soph forward has negated any inside advantage that Princeton ever had. Still, with everything on the line, this should be an exciting finish.

Thought we had a run going and the Penn's Wochetti takes over. Only a soph. She will dominate for the next couple of years.
Tigers down 6 with final quarter left. Doesn't look good. Penn holding solid on D. We can't get away with what works against lesser Ivies. Surprised that Penn lost to Cornell.

Penn bends, doesn't break. Wins by 2.
We deserve NCAA bid. But, pretty sure we won't get one. Ivies still get 0 respect.

I'll take the other side of that. I think Princeton gets in.

The 'Easiest Bubble Solver' analogue for the women's tournament has Princeton comfortably in, ahead of nine other at-large teams. (With only 2-4 potential 'bid thieves' out there): https://twitter.com/whitakk/status/707592 002913828...
I don't know if this has predicted committee selections as well on the women's side as for the men (guessing not). But Princeton's going to have a really good case.

On the other hand, ESPN Bracketology now has Penn as a 12 against Florida @ Syracuse, and Princeton in the first four out:
ESPN Bracketology
One thing is that this turned out to make a bigger difference in the RPI than we thought. Penn's now all the way up to 28 and Princeton dropped to 39.

Maybe we get a make-up call for last year's seeding abomination.

Courtney's summary of the game -- and then some more:
http://www.trentonian.com/sports/20160308/princ eto...
"In possession games, your big guys make plays and they made more than us on both (ends).... Possession games, it's why you don't want to be in them if you don't have to be. It relies on people making plays. We don't have stars, we're more of a team right now, so possession games aren't our favorite."
What puzzled me about her strategy/tactics last night was that with the apparent manpower advantage (10-player rotation, Penn's supposed fatigue, Brzozowski out, etc.), the Tigers didn't press or at least pick up 3/4 court and make Penn work for every possession. Create havoc and play fast. Stunningly, it was Penn that continually pressed Princeton, even though Penn led most of the way, mostly by high single digits, and disrupted the initiation of the offense. Had Berntsen, T. Brown, Holland, Miller, etc. engaged in that strategy, Penn would not have gotten as comfortably into their offense, to give Nwokedi, Ross and others the time to "make plays." SMH.
Another quote: "We share the ball well, but we don't pass the ball well.... We celebrate who we are and we're going to hide our weaknesses. We turn the ball over. That's just who we are, and so it's fine. Let's just play fast and play through it." That worked last year when you had Blake leading the team playing fast and playing through it. This year, it didn't work so well. Too many turnovers, too many wasted possessions.
Even though the five seniors leave, I think Courtney has plenty of existing and incoming talent to compete next year. But I think it's going to be a different kind of talent, perhaps more suited to possession games. It'll be interesting to see if she can or will adapt the style of play to the personnel.

I don't know, I think Wheatley played like a star (she abused Stipanovich, the only Tiger who did) and Miller certainly is a star (although Penn kept her in check in this one.)
Also, and with no sarcasm intended, way to go with the new lighting in there. While the Palestra is better than it used to be, I still wish they could get even better illumination.

It looked much better on video so I just assumed it was better camera equipment. Glad to hear they improved lighting. I wonder if it has done anything to improve the shooting of visiting teams who often struggle with the depth.
