Who needs to worry about disclosure policies when you have Bison 137?

This is truly an informative board?

And here's a mystery for our Bison posters:

Does anyone know why we put a fullback or tight end in motion and then he returns to the same spot where he started? Huh?

Would have to see the plays, but sometimes it is designed to glean some information about the defense. That is especially true when a team puts a WR in motion.

Just my humble opinion, but we need more misdirection and plays that confuse the defense. More play action and counter-type plays. Our offense looks plain vanilla to me after watching the whole VMI game in person.

And is DeFloria now injured? He was doing Ok early in that game and then Freshnock (who was superb) carried every play starting in the 2nd quarter. Why not mix in a speedy, change of pace back?

To me it looked like DeFloria suffered a concussion. He was on the sideline in the second half without his helmet which is a clear sign of a concussion since the trainers usually take tthe players helmets away when they suffer one.

You have to wonder, given the players the Bison are losing to concussion these days, how many players whose "bells were rung," back in the day, were seriously injured.

Unfortunately, as we've seen with the NFL, way too many players returned to play without adequate recovery time and are now suffering from CTE or other problems. I'm sure that is also the case with a number of players who only played college ball. I think the newer helmets have created more problems than they have prevented.

,Will be updating this list soon, as there have been a number of offers. Also two new commitments who look good:

1. Marquis Carter, 6-0 205 lb RB (NY) from The Rochester suburb of Pittsford. He missed the first few games with an injury but since his return has been averaging 175+ ypg and over 2 TDs per game. For a good 2A team. Has had a number of spectacular runs in just six games, as this senior highlight video shows:

http://www.hudl.com/video/3/3847294/57ea7 be9688ec4...

2. Simeon Page 6-0 225 lb LB (Utah) - committed to Air Force last year, after almost switching to Bucknell, and played for the Air Force Academy Prep School in August and September before leaving and contacting Joe Susan. Will enroll at Bucknell in January and be a part of the 2017 recruiting class.

Page was a two-time 1st team all-state LB (5A, Utah's largest class), and led the state in tackles both years. Has a Nike-documented 40 time of 4.62, which is very fast for an ILB. He also won the state championship in wrestling at 220. I suspect he was overlooked by larger schools due to his height, but so was Evan Byers, who became one of the top few LBs in PL history. The Bison previously have had two players who transferred in from Navy, CJ Williams and Doug Whitlock, and both became very good players. I expect Page to do likewise.

Page's highlight video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AiYGCbPRrzA&a mp;feat...

The Philadelphia Inquirer mentioned that 6'4" 295# Senior LG Jackson Evans from St Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia is weighing scholarship offers from Air Force, Bucknell, Lafayette and Lehigh. Evans is team captain. SJP is in the state A state semi-finals.

Recruiting has been going slowly, although there have been a number of new offers that I am behind on. In the past few days, BU has had two new commitments however:

1. Ryan Brida 6-0 205 lb LB (PA) from Henderson H.S. in West Chester. He had 137 tackles and 3 sacks in 13 games for a 9-4 5A team.

2. Clay Myers 6-2 270 lb DE/OL from Pittsburgh powerhouse Central Catholic, the WPIAL 6A champion and the #2 team in the state.

There are ten commits that have been identified:

Barr, PJ . OL . 6-4 275 lbs ( NJ )
Bitikofer Logan . QB . 6-3 200 lbs ( OH ) …
Brida, Ryan . LB . 6-0 205 lb (PA)
Carter, Marquis . RB . 6-0 205 lb (NY)
Herman, Blais . WR 6-3 205 lbs (TX)
Mottram, Rick . LB . 6-2 225 lbs ( NJ )
Myers, Clay . DE/OL . 6-2 270 lb DE/OL (PA)
Page, Simeon . LB . 6-0 225 lb (Utah)
Peppers, Justis . OL/DT . 6-5 300 lb (VA)
Twiford, Alex . TE/DE . 6-3 225 lbs ( PA )

I think the biggest need as of now is another good OL, a DT, and a CB. LB is a position of strength, already having a good freshman at that position and now adding a few - to a base defense that only uses two LB's. However it is possible that one of the new recruits might slide to the safety position that is really a hybrid LB in the 4-2-5.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is another committed player or two who has not been identified btw.

Clearly destined for greatness, as Henderson is my alma mater.

Live near Frisco, TX and every year watch the football finals. For the past two years, have predicted Bison could make the playoffs and had my hopes killed by injuries. Like the team they have next year and see several of the holes being filled by the incoming class. Would love this to be the year.

BU announced four more recruits. None are new, however, having all committed back in February. Not sure why some who commit close to signing day always show up in a much later press release. I think they are late recruits who either haven't been vetted by Admissions yet or who are true walk-ons.

Alex Bolinger OL 6-3 260 Haddonfield (NJ)

John McGuire WR 6-1 210 Don Bosco Prep (NJ)

David McWilliams WR 5-10 180 Fairview (CO)

Conner Romango SAF 5-11 190 Fox Chapel Area (PA)

http://www.bucknellbison.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_O...

I think McWilliams looks like an interesting prospect. McGuire may end up as the hybrid WR/TE that Susan often employs. Or maybe a FB.
