Now that the final three games are known- at Central Florida on December 12th, at Princeton on January 6th,and Princeton at home February 7th, the schedule as a whole can be discussed. Playing 5 out of the first 6 games on the road with the national champions the lone home game will not lead to a winning attitude. Also, opening the Ivy schedule on the road against Princeton, one of the favorites, will not help either.

Did it help us last year having one of the easiest out of conference schedules we have ever had, loaded up with home games?

In a departure from current practice, both Brown/Yale weekends will have the men and women playing at the same site (presumably doubleheaders for each of the four nights).

The reason that was offered to me was that Princeton requested that both of their squads play at home on the weekend of January 13-14, during the Princeton reading period.

And I am waiting for an explanation of why the Penn men play at Princeton on Friday, January 6, while the women play at Princeton on Saturday, January 7 instead of a doubleheader on the same day.

And what if they win 3 of those games? RMU, CCSU and Navy are all winnable games. This is such a woe is me post...last year was too easy and now this one is too hard. Put your big boy pants on and get ready to play! IMO they can win 7 of their first 11 games and have a great record going into January. Even if they're 6-5, that's nothing to cry over. Miami, Nova, Temple and UCF are tough opponents for anybody. Throw in a bad loss (just because) and that's respectable going into league play.

And the starting time for the Penn women's home games is 8:00 PM both nights, meaning the men would play at 5:30 PM both nights. Ugh!

Perhaps because Penn State will be hosting Michigan State at the Palestra on January 7th?

Does the league have a Friday night TV contract with this game the opener?

I'm a Boston U fan, but I've been lurking on your board for Walter Whyte information.

Anyway, I thought this scheduled closed scrimmage would be of interest to you.

Carleton is no joke. They've won the last six Canadian championships and beat Wichita State by 25 this summer.
