Coach Earl took CU to Spain in August and went 3-0 against Eurocolegio Casvi, Valencia Select and Sant Julia Select.

According to the athletic department article, Matt Morgan was the leading scorer (14.0 ppg), while Robert Hatter was close behind (13.3 ppg). Forward Stone Gettings got more involved in the offense and was the third leading scorer (9.3 ppg).

On the defensive side, the Red held its opponents to under 40% shooting in all three games. Two of the Spanish teams shot under 30% from three.

Defensive discipline and increased front court offensive production are two important things that the team will need this year. While just a short series of exhibition games, it would seem that the coaching staff is on the right track.
