Another good night for Mike, playing 21 minutes in a win over Houston. He scored 6 points (2-3 shooting) along with 3 boards, 1 block, and 1 steal. Also of note is that Humphries was a DNP-Coach's Decision.
Entering the game, Mike was leading the NBA in shooting pct. He is 19-23 on twos and 3-8 on threes, including tonight's games.

The Hawks took down the Cavs on the road tonight. Mike had 10 points in 22 minutes. Better yet, he threw down a rebound dunk over Lebron.

Mike's dunk was one of the lead stories on Fox Sports:

Note that Lebron was actually guarding Mike on the play - but not very closely.

1). Atlanta Hawks Power Forward/Center Mike Muscala is better than I gave him credit for. In 20 minutes a night he’s averaging 9.5 points and just over four rebounds a night. And he does stuff like this too.

Mike ended up with those stats, plus a steal, in 22 minutes. Hawks edged the Heat on the road. Hawks are now 8-2 for the year.

Ended up with those stats because he got pulled because he couldn't guard Hassan Whiteside. Millsap came in at 6-7 to take on the Miami big who had 25 boards many on the offensive glass where he was dominant. While he had a great offensive night, his defense was not all that spectacular. Best player on the court for Atlanta is probably a stretch.

FWIW, while Whiteside owned the glass, he was only 6-15 from the field. I watched the game and thought Mike acquitted himself pretty well on the defensive end.

From the Twitter Machine: "Mike Muscala is one of seven players facing at least five shots per game at the rim and holding opponents to sub-40% shooting there."

With Dwight Howard out tonight for the Hawks it seems as if Moose got the start. 33 minutes 16 points 6-11 from the floor 1-3 from 3, 5 boards, 3 assists, and a block. 107-100 win for the Hawks

What a great start to the season for Mike. He's definitely showing that he is a solid rotation player, and earning himself a big contract next year.
