It's been quiet in The Woods as our men prepare for the season opener against top 25 Rhode Island. But the commitments are coming!

The Big Green secured another verbal commitment. This one from Aaron Rai. Rai comes to The Woods from our neighbors the to North, Canada. He's a Senior at Orangevill Prep at The Athlete Institute Academy. This is the same school where Thon Maker prepped before declaring for this years NBA draft. Jamal Murray, #7 pick in the 2016 draft also prepped there before going to Kentucky. Not a bad pedigree.

Rai played AAU ball for the Canadian EYBL squad CIA Bounce. CIA Bounce returned to the top travel ball circuit this year and made it to Peach Jam. Rai is the second get, in two years, for the Big Green wiith valuable EYBL experience. CIA Bounce is the same program where current Timberwolve player Andrew Wiggins played before his one and done season at Kansas.

Rai has been associated with some solid prep programs is the simple takeaway. Add Rai to the commitment form Chris Knight and it would seem that the McLaughlin era continues its strong start on the recruitment trail.
