The WSJ article was just a rehash of articles written elsewhere in the last couple of months, often word for word. Does that make it "well-researched?" I don't think so.

We non-Crimson readers probably aren't as familiar with the prior art as you are, so found it a nice summary though not shocking. The Brown quotes (Cal grad who regrets not going to Harvard, though for pretty uninspiring reasons) were new to me. And if the WSJ plagiarized "word-for-word" that would be mildly scandalous.

As the Donald explained to Al Smith IV, insights (and verbatim phraseologies) shared a second time usually don't receive the same response as they did when initially presented by another.

Other than the somewhat ridiculous title, a well-written article.
I like how they pointed out that all 8 Ivies have expanded need-based aid to make them an attractive alternative to athletic scholarship schools.

This attenuated process is now, mercifully, drawing to a close.
The decision is now set to be revealed on November 23.
