Vanderbilt is down by 4 at halftime at home against #6 Kentucky, game is on ESPN. If Vandy wins that'll help Bucknell's rankings.

Vandy only down 5 with 3:00 to play.

And Kentucky wins 87-81. Bucknell beat Vandy by 5 so I guess Kentucky is only one point better than Bucknell haha.

They got within 1 but couldn't get stops when they needed them.

Creighton point guard and Boston U transfer, Maurice Watson Jr tore his ACL yesterday and is out for the year. He was leading the nation in assists

Tough break for Watson and for Creighton, who is 18-1 and ranked 7th in the nation. Watson is a 5th year senior, so his college career is over. He is a long shot for the NBA, so he will likely be playing in Europe next year, or maybe the D-league, although he nay not be ready for the start of the season depending on his rehab.

Not sure why, but for some reason Rider left the court after playing Siena, without shaking hands. So Jimmy Pastos decided to shake invisible hands:

There was a fight earlier in the game:

Rider was probably smart to walk off immediately after the game, as there was real potential for a brawl breaking out. As it was, some Siana fans threw various objects at the Rider players, and a Rider coach almost got into a fight with a so-called fan.

I believe one player from each team was ejected for a Flagrant 2, and at least one Siena player appeared to leave the bench and will be facing suspension.

Rider manager of basketball operations Dom Hoffman is visible in one of those shots.

Fortunately Dom was not one of the people throwing punches. Dom, by the way, is their director of player development, whatever that is. The manager of basketball operations is Chandler Fraser-Pauls, who went to Lafayette to play both soccer and basketball. He quickly found out that playing two major sports was too much, and he gave up basketball during his freshman year at Lafayette.

One player from each team was suspended and both coaches were reprimanded.

It is nice to see La Salle and Richmond tied at 5-1 with Dayton at the top of the A-10 standings. As long as La Salle and Richmond keep winning, it should be good for the Bison.

Vandy upset #19 Florida yesterday, 68-66, in Gainesville.

Mount St. Mary's, after its brutal 2-11 nonconference start against a very hard set of opponents, is 7-1 in league play, its best-ever start to Northeast Conference action.

Bison are up to #95 on Kenpom.com. As I've said before, IMO, anything better than #100 is a sign of a good team.

Princeton is leading the Ivy League at 3-0. Sienna is our only truly bad loss.

Boy, did you jinx those two. LaSalle lost at VCU today by 38 points, while Richmond lost by five to GMU.

Great job by Jamion Christian, holding them together after enduring what may have been the nation's toughest ooc schedule.

Another team playing quite well is Wake. This week they beat a good Miami team and then a good NC State team to move up to 35th in the Pomeroy rankings. When they met the Bison, they were 73rd.

Don't agree that the Siena loss is a bad loss. We were not favored in that one. True they have regressed since then, and we have advanced, so maybe it IS a bad loss. I am not there yet.
