Did not see the URI game but this seemed more of the same. Poor shooting unfortunately. Shots just not falling. First few minutes were encouraging with G. Smith hitting 3/3 3 pointers. They have 11 days till Marist at home.

Many of our shots in the paint were contested. Probably should have had more fouls called in our favor. Hoping for better against Marist but won't be around

If Dartmouth is going to be competitive in the league, we have to do better than losing by 17 to the Fairfields of the world.

According to the record books we haven't beaten Fairfield in all four meetings. But I agree that it needed to be closer than 17. We're still to turnover prone and our perimeter defense needs a tune-up. We struggle to stay in front of our man. Here's to hoping things will start to fall into place before season...like our shooting.
Ian Sistare has been very deserving of the minutes he's gotten. Evan Bordeaux needs some help out there. He's constantly seeing the double team. We need to be able to find the open man and knock down the jumper to ease the pressure.

Oh wow
Why did we lose by 17 at home to Fairfield?
Kenpom had us as a 1 point favorite
Was it just a bad shooting night? And the opponent played out of their gords?

We play mostly man D, but the on ball defense is not there yet. A combination of solid shooting from Fairfield and poor shooting by us exacerbated our issues on defense. We got up more shots than Fairfield they just weren't falling. We need to keep shooting, because they will eventually get their rhythm back.
We might also try to mix in a little zone when we can't keep the other team out of the paint. Fairfield outscored us in the paint 45 to 26! Our turnovers were still on the high side and over our two games the points off fast breaks ratio is 2 to 25. The only 2 fast breaks were vs RI

When the shots aren't falling it makes everything look worse than it actually is. Keep the faith. Marist up next...

I would like to see what Brendan Barry can do. He only played 2 mins at the end of the URI game. But he had one rebound and 1 assist. He's one of three McDs nominees in the freshman class.
From the highlight vids the kid can shoot. I'g guessing that size or ability to defend my be limiting the PT.
