Started like a blow out, then slowed down but lead comfortably for the rest of the way. Howard was impressive, 19 pts, 6 rbs. in 24 minutes, Spieth reached 1000 pts., 17 pts., 6 rbs. Fuller played his best game, 14 pts. on 5-5 from the floor and 8 rbs. Sullivan and Dougherty played great minutes and added great energy again.

Congrats to the team on the win and to Steven on his 1,000th point. Very nice career up until this point with hopefully more to come.

We are getting a lot from our little guards - Blackmon, Anderson, Corey, Sullivan, and Hobbie. Them all getting quality minutes now should help us in back to back nights during league play.

I can see why Erebor doesn't get a ton of minutes at the moment - game is moving way too fast for him - but boy o boy if he sticks with it he has a shot. What a nice compliment an athletic shot blocker would be next to Howard through 2020 - whoa. Was nice to see Howard step out and hit a 3 tonight (along with his FT's) - he is going to score a lot of points for us.

Nice to see Travis Fuller contribute in big ways as well. He appears to be gaining more and more confidence.

Hopefully Obi will show up again sometime soon. He is all out of whack right now - no rhythm, shot is flat, etc. Needs to get out in transition get a few easy buckets.

Nice win - hopefully we can get a win over Central on Saturday. They blasted Maine tonight.

Rare comfortable win always welcome. Obi really needs work on his three pointer. Pushing the ball right now. But good to win when he doesn't hit a bucket and we only hit three threes.
LET'S go BRU-no (duh. nuh. nuh-nuh-nuh)

It should also be noted the Bears have improved their free throw shooting. They are shooting 75% as a team. A huge assset in close games.

For the first 10 minutes last night they were very aggressive on O, with everyone taking the ball to the hoop. It was obviously a conscious effort and strategy and it paid off. Defensively we also played very agreesive D. Together it lead to about a 22-6 lead. I continue to be impressed with the interior passing which often results in easy baskets. Great motion to the offense. Many contributing quality minutes.

The secret to this team getting to the line can be found in how hard these guys cut to the basket. Most Ivy teams whip is around the perimeter waiting for some type of breakdown defensively. By cutting hard for the duration of the shot clock the opponent really has to be locked in not to foul. It really hard to do. Just think how hard it was to guard Princeton (when they were really running the "Princeton offense") for 35 seconds (up until several years ago). Takes a ton of discipline. With the fresh bodies the staff keeps rotating in - it is difficult to defend.

Don't want to project how many games the team will win, but everyone is engaged. Blake W who didn't play second the last two games in a timeout at the end of the game was looking over the shoulder of players at what was being drawn up. Culturally that is what we need most right now. Reminds me of the Sean M and Matt Sullivan teams who were just locked in at all times.

I don't like to project potential league victories, either. Or get too caught up comparative scores against like opponents. But I was taken by the second half comeback by Bryant last night against the Yale Bulldogs. It certainly speaks to the kind of firepower the "other" Bulldogs from RI have, and perhaps also speaks well for the Bears that they could match their effort Monday night at the Pitz. Bad loss for the league. But it reflects well on the Bears. Time will tell if any of that matters.

The secret to our improved FT % may be that our good FT shooters are the ones getting to the line. The 2 frosh seeing minutes are both good FT shooters. Fuller does look better at the line than he did last year.
