They were up by 20 until then put the back end of the bench in.

Did you watch the game?

Yeah I'm a Penn fan... and while the Tigers have been off to a disappointing start as an outsider, they are still ranked 1st in Ivy's by a LOOONG way in advance metrics, so I assure you your guys should make the Ivy Tournament.

Hawaii hung around for 9m of the 2nd half despite a 20pt 1st half lead. This should have been a laugher all the way. Some games you're supposed to win by 20 even with garbage time. Last year's Princeton team beat Lafayette by 52 (!!!) and FDU by 30.

But I'll grant you that I wouldn't be grousing if this team we were 5-2 instead of 3-4. Considering how awful they've looked AND how hot they began the game, it would have been nice to see a confidence boosting blowout.

Instead, this was just a TCB win that doesn't inspire any confidence that they found their rhythm.

Mitch Henderson's teams have a history of underachieving in Ivy play. I take nothing for granted. Right now, I feel 60% sure we'll make the cut.

It has been a disappointing start to the season as you have rightly pointed out. Post-game last evening, Henderson expressed disappointment as to the lack of shooting against Cal. Cal game was a game that the Tigers could have won based on their defensive play.

Kenpom has the Tigers with a #56 ranking and they are the highest ranked team with a losing record -- rather ironic.

The defense that they played against Cal and Hawaii on consecutive nights is probably a good sign. Other than Cal this season due to the Bears defense, they have had open looks for the vast majority of shots. If they start hitting their shots more consistently, they will be probably be a pretty tough out.

Can't agree...you would be grousing if the Tigers were 6-0!

I don't know the way these "invitationals" work. But is there a reason why Navy wasn't playing?

Hawaii-sure. Cal--close enough.

Seton Hall and Princeton are head-scratchers for this particular tournament.

I understand the overall general "meh" feeling so far, but I think this goes too far in the other direction. After all, Hawaii earlier played #5 UNC closer than Tigers. In no way does this season have a Joe Scott feel to it, so far.

The Lehigh game was the only one that disturbed me as opposed to disappointing me. I agree that if they defend the rest of the year as well as they did in this tournament--which is no sure thing but what Henderson aimed at preseason--then they will be good in the league. Their offense should look a lot better against those teams as long as they take care of the ball, and their shooting when open should return to its norm.

After starting 0-4, the Women are now even at 4-4 after convincing wins with suffocating defense. Time for Mitch to give Courtney a call?

Has anything official been stated about Brase?
