Siena is at Florida Gulf Coast tonight at 8 eastern on ESPN3/WatchESPN.
There will be a fan bus to next Saturday's game at Siena. (Also the games at Navy, Lafayette, Army and Lehigh.) Here's a link to the sign-up form.

Siena has several injured players right now. Has also dealt with the suspension of several players at various times. Patsos runs the program like a circus.

Siena is an interesting team, with some big pluses and big minuses:
- They start four seniors who each have started for 3+ seasons, making them one of the most experienced teams in the country.
- They are the only school in the nation with three 1000 point scorers, and a fourth is only 11 points away.
- As mentioned in another post, they suspended two key players for three games each at the start of the year, one reportedly for drugs and the other for some sort of behavioral issue.
- Also suspended two players briefly for not showing up for a bus departure time recently.
- Nico Clareth, who was one of the MAAC's top rookies last year, has averaged 17 ppg this year but is likely to miss the game with recurring knee problems and is rumored to be transferring out.
- Jimmy Patsos, their coach, seems to always be in the middle of some problem or controversy, and many Siena fans would like to see him replaced.
As most of you know, this game if being played at Glens Falls, which is about 50 miles north of Albany. Glens Falls has an ECHL hockey team that plays there, and the court will be laid out over the ice surface since the Thunder have a game later that day. Rumor on the Siena board is that when Siena agreed to 12/17 as the date to play the Bison that they didn't realize that Disney on Ice already was scheduled for their normal home court at the TUC in Albany.

.
Following Siena's practice today, the story has changed. Patsos now says Clareth likely will play. Siena also may get back a good freshman (Friday), who has missed recent games with an injury. Friday, who comes off the bench, is 6-9 250 lbs. Siena's starters are 6-10, 6-8, 6-7, 6-5, and 6-1. The Bison are obviously giving up a lot of height. Hopefully DJ is OK.

In case any of you are going to the game, "diamonddog" on the Siena message board posted this handy travel guide:
Where can I park?
www.glensfallscc.com/arena-info/parking/
Any unique restaurants in Glens Falls you can recommend?
Somewhat away the arena:
Talk of the Town (74 Hudson Avenue, Glens Falls, NY)
Good Pizza and other entrees. Booze available.
Cooper's Cave (2 Sagamore Street...on Dix Avenue)
Excellent food with their homemade beer, soda, and Ice Cream. Amazing.
Poopies (54 Lawrence Street)
Very good Burgers. No booze.
Around the arena:
New Way Lunch (21 South Street)
Great Hot Dogs and other diner food. No booze.
Davidson Brothers (184 Glen Street)
Wonderful beer with a decent food menu.
Downtown City Tavern (21 Elm Street)
Good American menu with alcohol available.
After the Game:
Mean Max Brew Works (193 Glen Street)
Alcohol only bar.
Bullpen Tavern (216 Glen Street)
Bar with food.
[There are other good restaurants outside of Glens Falls and around Glens Falls, but these are the ones I am familiar with the most]
What about Generic Food?
Burger King and Subway are nearby the arena.
Any changes to the Civic Center?
Yes. New videoboard in the center of the court. New paint around the arena. WiFi has been improved.
www.saratogian.com/article/ST/20161121/N EWS/161129...
Are their concessions available?
Of course! The prices I feel are steep. You can get Davidson beer at the arena.

Really not shooting well today. This always seems to happen with the first game out of the finals break.

Take away their starting backcourt and they are shooting pretty well, at least with 8:00 to go first half.

Yeah turnovers and poor shooting, particularly by Sestina and Mackenzie, are the story. Can't take advantage of Wright being on the bench. Have to protect the ball and put it in the basket.

Fouling on every play and missing too many shots from all over the court. Down by 8 with 13:21 to go.

Just listening to Doug, he gives the impression that Bucknell is playing very uninspired basketball, being outhustled and not playing very smart. Seems Mackenzie is having an absolutely terrible game on both sides of the court...maybe he should be sitting more this game if he is obviously having problems. Also, way too many fouls if hey indeed are legitimate fouls.

Doug just called someone shooting 62% from the line a "great FT shooter." The O'Reilly foul (Doug said it was on Matt) when Clareth was shooting a three was huge.

Why does Doug think every opposing player is a great free throw shooter - even if they only shoot 60%?

This has to be Thomas' worst game ever. Fouling a 3 point shooter in a tie game with a minute to go is inexcusable.
