Incredible bounce-back from that Mason game. The coaching was wonderful tonight and Brodeur is remarkable.

Also I've really liked MacDonald's game today, so disagreeing with my own assessment from last few weeks. I always agreed he did the little things, but when he can make himself at least a threat on offense he is very good.

Penn is back!!!
Calm yourself. Fla. looked like a chinese fire drill on offense.

So I'm sure they're ranking will take a bit of a dive, but that's our best win since we beat NCAA Harvard team ranked 93rd by Pomeroy in 2013 (3 point home win so this could finish as better win). Last time we beat a team better than 70th in Pomeroy was 2012 (beat 67th St. Joes and 41st Harvard).
Heck of a recovery by the team on a difficult road game.

When was the last time we beat a Top 100 ranked (Sagarin and Ken Pom) opponent? Maybe Harvard in-conference, lord knows how long it has been out of conference.
Granted the rankings are a bit skewed since the season is still young, but this was very impressive.

I never did Report Cards except when I attended the game. But I am happy to talk about this one---it's been such a long time when we won a road game where we were a big dog. But we have a few guys who really can take the ball hard to the basket and score under, around and over athletic competition--that is a sea change from the recent past. If we put together some consistent 3 point shooting, we will be very dangerous in our league.

That was a big boy win tonight. Wow. Guess I picked the wrong fla game to travel to. What AJ did to seal the game was off the charts. Those are the moves of a senior. And good for Sam. Just a tremendous win.
What we saw tonight is exactly why I would hate to have an Ivy tournament if I'm a regular season champ. Two home games where all we have to do is shoot the 3 well and we're in the big dance. All they need to do is grab that last spot.

I appreciate the win but, UCF did not have there starting point guard so we beat a wounded team.
Nevertheless it was nice to win.

A few random observations from watching the last 15 minutes of the game:
- Darnell was penetrating at will, but wasn't finishing. He missed layups, short turnarounds, and pull-ups. I was shocked how deep into the paint they let him go.
- When Sam Jones' threes are hitting, it is one of the most beautiful shots.
- Hamilton's reverse left-handed drive seemed a bit lucky. There was no way he was actually trying to bounce it that high off the glass, was there? I still want to see this guy more.
- Great character win for the team. They were composed the whole game and always kept purpose.

This will do wonders for them in that they can savor it during finals break; then they have a couple of very winnable home games against Drexel and Fairfield going into league play

That would have been a cool game to watch if the Ivy Digital pack I pay for worked, or if ESPN3 worked.

They were a 9.5 point favorite without him. And they have a completely unstoppable mountain who can dunk without jumping. The guy improved his shooting percentage from 80%. And yes, MacDonald is a vast improvement from turnover central--he almost never turns the ball over and makes few mistakes. But if Sam can hit the 3s with AJ and Howard driving, it's hard to guard Penn.

I thought the team also did a wonderful job of dribbling and passing throughout without turning the ball over a ton. It's probably why Goodman never returned to the game--he was the outlier here.
