From an overall league perspective, what may be relevant is that Princeton, Harvard and Yale (to a lesser degree) have not met the eye test as their quality of play. Veterans of all three teams, again lesser degree Yale, have not consistently played well. Although some of the freshmen have had their moments, after watching many of them play, you realize that they are freshmen. The up side is that they are freshmen.

The likelihood that one team will arise this year is questionable at best but one never knows. A fair conclusion is that HYP play to date hurts one's eyes but it is still early.

Jeff Goodman of ESPN is reporting that Caruso has been granted a medical release and will be eligible as a grad transfer somewhere else next season.

Cannady and Cook had huge games against Monmouth playing a style of ball not all that familiar to Tiger fans. The up-and-down game was very comfortable for the Hawks as they racked up 96 to our 90. Good sign for the Tigers to compete well against a foe this good on the road. Only 4 offensive rebounds doesn't look as bad when you shoot 45%. Free throw woes a big concern and perhaps cost us the game.Bell was on the floor a lot because of Weisz foul trouble but his struggles continue.
