The Valley News had a very critical article of the progress (or lack thereof) of Dartmouth's women's basketball team. BGA links to the article.

The article also contained a quote from Sheehy that promised to give McLaughlin time. Give Sheehy credit for good timing--a few hours later, the team got its first victory (and an impressive one at that).

But getting back to the women's program, the VN makes a pretty compelling case that the program and Coach Koclanes have accepted mediocrity as the standard for Dartmouth Women's Basketball.

Sad.
Missed this, but the women responded to the article by beating Rhode Island by 10.
Of course, Penn and Brown beat URI as well, but still better than losing.
