McGurk, Swart, and especially DeBoer are hard to replace, but it looks like these young women will fit right in. Getting Ellie Mack back will also help.

One of the finalists who Kapp beat out for the award is Jenay Faulkner, a very good player from Greencastle-Antrim who is committed to Holy Cross. Greencastle-Antrim is in rural PA well southwest of Harrisburg near the Maryland line.

That may answer the question of how to replace DeBoer.

Perhaps, although I think it's very possible that the starter at that spot on Day one will be Ellie Mack, assuming her knee is 100%. My guess for the starting frontline, barring injuries, is Slagus, Romaine, and Mack. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Need to replace three quality players.

Kapp had a really good season, but her Miss PA honor is partly based on her team winning the state title. I don't think she has quite as good a HS pedigree as DeBoer did.
