Morgan is out with a knee injury.
It is Albany 34-26 at the half. Albany was up 12 at several points, but Cornell got it to 8 by halftime.
The Red are staying in the game due to a difference in three pointers. Cornell was 6-17 (35%) while Albany was 2-10 (20%).
Albany had a +12 on rebounds (32-12 with 10-1 on the offensive side). The Great Danes also had a 24-6 advantage with Points in the Paint.
Cornell's starting 5 was Hatter, Smith, Fallas, Whiteside and Gettings. Smith led with 10 points, Gettings had 6 and Hatter 4.

Albany took the lead to 11, 58-47, with 7:30 to go in the second half. While Cornell was not shooting threes as well as it did in the first half, they got 3 in a row in an 11-2 run to get it down to a 2 point game, 58-60, with 3:54 left.
Cornell then missed its next 3 three pointers, as Albany went on a 9-0 run in the next 2+ minutes to go up 11 with 1:45 to go. A late Cornell free throw ended the scoring with Albany earning a 10 point win, 69-59.
Cornell ended up 10-31 (32%) from three. While the 10 was higher than its average, it was not enough - As the ESPN analyst said early in the game, the Red needed at least 12 threes to win the game (not to mention a higher percentage than it's average).
The Great Danes ended up with +19 rebounding margin (43-24, including 16-1 on the offensive side).
Cornell had four in double figures - Smith 13, Hatter 12, Whiteside 12 and Gettings 10, but only 6 bench points (Albany had 23).
Cornell has Fisher College of the NAIA at home on Sunday afternoon as its last non-conference game. Hopefully, Matt Morgan returns in time for the conference opener against Columbia on the 14th.
