this thread title is a source of comfort. I have a hard time believing he won't average 20 minutes a game next year and be starting by Ivy sched.

Well, we'll see. The level of competition is significantly better. Sometimes it translates, sometimes it doesn't. I suspect you may be right but....

I have to think the level of competition he faced prior to the playoffs had something to do with what appeared to some "quiet" games. Seeing what he did in the big games sure is encouraging.

Looks like Simmons averaged 17 points and 15 rebounds during regular season, but stepped up his game quite a bit in playoffs.

I also watched a few of his games this year, and it seemed to me he was very unselfish (and honestly I was really impressed with his passing and court vision for a big). However, in a few of the games I saw I thought he should actually been more selfish - seems like he was in the playoffs and it paid off.

Jarrod Simmons and his Moon Tigers were upset in the first round of the PIAA playoffs, bringing an end to Jarrod's high school career.

Beaver Times article about the game (with quotes from Jarrod)

here is the best quote in the article
What led you to Penn?

"Penn was just a place that had a family atmosphere. I felt comfortable with the coaches. It was also somewhere that mom was OK with. Sometime mom would say a place was too far or she didn't get the right feelings. Penn was the right fit."

Never underestimate the power of a MOM!
