Is it my imagination, or does Penn actually lose a lot more than its share of close games?

This happens when you have a coach that does a poor job of managing the game clock, the personnel, and timeouts.

Honestly, if you NEVER get a good shot out of timeouts, NEVER play the hothand when the "starters" (I'm including Zoller inthis mix) are playing poorly, and always resort to running dodwn the shot clock w/ 3 minutes left in a very close game, you aren't going to win lots of close ones.

Outside of the holiday festival last year, you don't see too many.
