Starting lineup for this weekend is up. Only change is that Rodney is now starting. I had thought that Meisner would also be moving back into the starting lineup since I think that Coby plays better coming off the bench. Hopefully we put the train wreck of last weekend in the rear view mirror.

Meisner and Coby will also be shuffled in and out of there. In the meantime, I just wish Rodney's offense would improve. Although pretty much everyone but Smith stunk in the Cornell game, Rodney's ORAT was a measly 28.

Offense will improve by taking more shots. He only took 4 last game. Not sure why the hesitation but that's something Coach shoukd address.

They gotta control the boards. They will have the size advantage on mosy teams but they must utilize it.

I am convinced that this the right starting line-up for Columbia (Petrasek, Coby, Smith, Hickman and Hunter) and my hope is that the coaching staff will keep the starting five on the floor without a single substitution until the ten minute mark or longer to give the starting five a chance to become at ease with themselves as a unit. Frankly, I also hope that during that period of time, Hickman and Smith are the only players to take three point shots as Petrasek, Coby and Hunter take care of business under the boards. On defense, I would like to see the Lions apply full court pressure on alternate possessions. When Meisner and McComber come in, I want them to post up near the basket and not shot from the outside. Hunter, Petrasek and all the bigs need to be moving at all times on offense looking to use their size and mobility to get underneath the basket for easy lay-ups.

As bad as the offense has looked, I'm more concerned about the defense. Rodney will help with that.

One of the issues is that Meisner and Petrasek are both more of stretch 4's on offense vs. under the basket types. Maybe you have them alternate and have one go inside and the other outside. Or you just play Coby as the under the basket guy.
