No question this is a must-win game for the Lions. Let's hope they didn't overdo it in Friday's spirited comeback.

Let's see if he sticks with the same starting lineup.

Your team is doing a great job of shutting down Boudreaux....it's everyone else who is killing you!

Well, until a second ago. But really, Dartmouth has built its lead with some great passing and shooting by the others.

Dartmouth's Johnson an eyelash slow hitting a buzzer-beating three. Going to OT at 69-69.

Hard to believe. Columbia loses 80-79. Making the tourney is going to be a lot tougher now.

The Penn game now becomes pretty much imperative for you to win.

This one really hurt. Down by 12, we tie at 69, go into over time, lead by 5, Adlesh misses two FTs with 7 seconds left, and we lose in OT, 80-79.
There were hints of how good we might be next year (when Tape played was when we surged), but tonight everyone seemed to have tired legs.

I don't know where to begin with how I feel. Those missed FTs by Petrasek and then Tape hurt bad. The defending on the final sequence was horrendous. No excuse to lose that one.

Lots of responsibility for the loss. Adlesh's misses came after the usually dependable Petraska went 1 for 4 at one point when shooting FTs, 2 of 6 overall that helped result in the avoidable end. And he didn't score at all in the 2nd until about 7;30 .
Smith missed layups, was 5 for 15 overall, whatever else he contributed. Playing 40 minutes @ Harvard may have been a reason.
Hickman had one of his best games recently.

One substitution too many as the coaching staff inexplicably subs Davis for Tape with 12 seconds left in overtime leaving Boudreaux free to shot the three over the smaller Davis.

Lots of culprits here. Failure to make FTs with the game on the line is the most obvious. Persistent inability to close out winnable games is the overall problem. I have to wonder if this coaching staff is getting the most out of the personnel that they inherited. If Penn beats Yale today - which I actually expect in light of the resurgence of Penn lately and the incentive of playing in the playoffs at home --- then we will basically have to sweep next weekend at home and split the Brown/Yale road series to make the playoffs.

I think any coach takes either Taoe or Petrasek out there. Dartmouth had gone to 4 guards there, so you would have a big guarding a quicker guy in a situation where they are looking for a 3. Davis wasn't guarding Boudreaux there. It was Petrasek. Petrasek bit on Smith driving to the middle off a screen and then got lost in the shuffle. Davis was just the closest guy to Boudreaux after the screen.

Shame on the Columbia fans for singling out players for not getting it done.
What will those poor kids and their parents think?

I know Meisner is injured, but where is Killingsworth? Is the shortened rotation from performance in games and practice,or from injury?
Let's hope we have everyone back by next weekend.
